    Hi everyone

    No. 29 reporting for duty!

    Sfd number 3

    Grocery 0/100 spent

    Grateful for:
1 having plenty of crafting stuff. Been making Xmas cards the last couple of days.
2 having solar panels, so wm, bm and tumble dryer have been in for free.
3 having food in the freezer still, so I can still cobble dinners together.

Today I'm having a house cleaning and clearing day, I already have a bag for the cs, but I'm sure I can get another one if I try. So that's my donation for this month, I have also started knitting for Xmas boxes for the homeless as I know how lucky I am to have somewhere safe to live.(I do this every year though, so I hope it counts)

Right off to do some more

    Sorry for you loss Mothernerd.

I managed to read all your posts last night but dropped off on the sofa before I had change to post my own!

Yesterday was my first NSD for the month but today I have already been and done the weekly shop in the new Lidl and Aldi. Very disappointed with the range that Lidl had such as only having peas, steam veg and mixed veg in their frozen veg section! Had to go to Aldi to get everything so wont bother with Lidl and will go back to Aldi.

Lidl did have half price iceberg as well as spinach and peppers (also half price) if anyone is struggling to find any with the shortages.

My food budget looks high at £127 out of £320 but I have a huge amount of meat, fruit and veg in to last the best part of 2 weeks :)

I did a 6am gym class yesterday which gave me loads of energy until I fell asleep on the sofa at 10pm:rotfl: This week I have done 2 classes and had a PT session and have another PT session tonight. DH and I were going to go to the gym tomorrow but he may go into work instead. Mind, he is out tonight at a concert so that might not happen;)

DS is at DPIL tonight and most of tomorrow as seeing DBIL and niece who has taken it upon himself not to bother with DH and I so we don't see him. DPIL are then coming to us for a Chinese takeaway.

I am hoping to get the house mucked out by the time they arrive on Saturday and may do a class at the gym on Saturday morning.

    I am grateful for:

    1) British Gas who came out to sort a non-urgent CH problem 15 minutes after I rang them
    2) Access to budget supermarkets which allow me to feed us healthy food for less
    3) Working from home so I can get some housework done/washing on when I need a break from the laptop
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75

Good morning all, sorry for your loss Mothernerd.

Today is NSD number 2, yesterday and we managed to go to the gym for the second time this week, we are aiming to go again before Sunday. Today is also our third day without sugar, I am following Paul MacKenna 'I can make you thin' book & CD and after watching Sugar Free Farm have taken Sugar out of my diet, OH has joined me, we both need to lose a few stones over this year. I have added our name to the allotment list (near my daughter), we are third on the list, so may have a long wait.

Today I am grateful that we are both retired and in good health, also grateful that DD1 & DGD3 are bringing eggs to ours, so omelettes for lunch today.

New bed for DGC was delivered yesterday and have managed to fill one recycle bin with shredded paper, but loads of paperwork still to do. Once this has been done and a new filing system set up I am determined to keep up with the paperwork and no more hoarding.

So a very productive day. Could quite easily have one of them a month. I'd vote for the reintroduction of the housekeeping day, if there ever was one.

Must be something in the water on this cruise! that sounds just like my morning. 4 kids bedrooms turfed out, all neat and orderly, washer going like mad, bathrooms cleaned, house hoovered, stuff cleared and a box for the charity full already, only the downstairs left to go, 2 floors done. I think there must be a hint of spring in the air, for the cleaning to begin and not be a total bore. I am even considering sticking the laundry on .... the line!! Our ship is going to look like a Chinese laundry with all our washing billowing out between the sails.

Just finished!!! And feel a lot better now, so that's 2 bags for the cs and a sit down for me. I think February is a good month to house clean because we're trapped on this ship and ship mates are always scrubbing the decks!!! Mind you it could be a cruise ship, but I think I prefer doing a bit of scrubbing!!!!! I can't believe I've just written that!!! I'm going before I get all the ship to clean.

Mothernerd, Sincere condolences. Hugs. Hope you manage to sort out care as well and remember look after yourself first.

Today feeling totally put upon, have 2 desks full of work, added to that one Boss on a cruise again, so having to do some of his work and other one darted off early. Really need to pull my socks up and find a job I enjoy.

So glad its Friday offered a night out and so tired I can't be bothered. How sad is that. Happy to fall asleep on my couch again.

Doing awful so far at this challenge, needed milk today and few bits of veg. Can't believe haven't got a Sfd yet doesn't like it tomorrow either - need to buy electric sockets.

Apologise for whiny post throw me overboard.

    Grateful for
    Nearly home time.
Defrosted stew for tea - no cooking for me.
Have a whole day to myself tomorrow.

Didn't manage a walk today as the plasterer took most of the day to fix the wall - much as I expected. On the plus side had a NSD and avoided the grog. Also noticed I'd miscalculated the number of pounds I aim to loose - doesn't make it any easier though.
Spent quite a lot of time in the galley making meals for the next few days (all from the stores and freezer, of course). Yesterday I cleared the washing basket but this morning it was full again. Don't know what the cabin boy has been up to but it's not reflected in the tidiness of his quarters.
    Grateful for:
Getting the wall plastered (now just the joiner, electrician and plumber to come and finish the rest).
Having a washing machine (remember my Granny doing everything by hand and using a manual wringer).
Lovely fish and steamed veg for dinner (that should help the diet).
Everyone who's on shore leave - have a good weekend
Those on duty - hope it's not too stormy
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

    Haharrrrr me Hearties!!!

Well - that was embarrassing. Just as the ship set sail - a wave the likes of which I've never seen before swept me overboard - and I've only just caught up!!!

I'm glad to see we are all on-board and off to a cracking start!! I will be doing a full tour of the deck tomorrow and reviewing each and every one of your posts and progress.

The weather has turned and a storm front is moving in. Wrap up and batten down the hatches shipmates!!! I'll be seeing ye all in the morning!!!
