Going from Fibre BB back to regular BB

I've done a bit of searching online for the answer but I couldn't find it.
If you have fibre broadband is it possible to switch back to non-finer broadband? I know when I had fibre broadband installed Openreach came out and did some fiddling with the cables outside. I suppose Openreach would they have to do the same if you want to revet back to regular broadband. Is that the case?

You can certainly switch back. There would be some fiddling at the cabinet and some fiddling at the exchange but nothing needs changing in your home other than the likely replacement router. If you had the earlier OpenReach Modem + a router setup that would certainly need to be swapped for an ADSL modem/router.0

Thanks. I will need a new router then as I currently have Plusnet Fibre BB which means I have an Openreach modem + a second router.0

My Plusnet router has a fibre/ADSL switch in the settings. Unplug fibre router, plug standard router in.0

Please let us know how you get on. I'm looking at doing this later this year when my minimum term ends.0

I have got the same router for fibre that I used for non-fibre adsl.
The only thing I got when I upgraded from adsl to fibre was an extra bt openreach modem which plugs in between the phone socket and the existing adsl router.0 -
I wonder if there will be a charge as the usual fibre connection fee is often absorbed by the ISP, I doubt the disconnection fee will be.0

It would primarily depend if you were still within the minimum term - I can't see they could charge to cease a service once you are out of contract0 -
When I enquired a while ago, Plusnet said they couldn't (read wouldn't) allow a switch from fibre to copper, so I expect to have to switch ISP to achieve it.0

They're talking tosh.
It's absolutely possible.0
