We are hitting the supermarket early tomorrow morning to avoid crowds too. Waitrose though so not particularly MSE but they are the only supermarket around here which do lactose free for my DGD and DH and gluten free for my SIL. SIL been in hospital for the last 6 weeks and due to be discharged Christmas Eve so we hoping they do let him out.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Hi ES
Fingers crossed for your SIL coming home for Christmas after 6 weeks. It would be lovely for him.
As for the shopping I hope you get there early and back before the rest of the country descends on the shops  I will be like Benny Hill running along with my bags for life shouting ‘move out the way, last minute Christmas shopper coming through’ :rotfl:
Let us know if you manage to avoid the trolley Ragers and the ones that shop like there’s about to be a food shortage

Lol. Yes the way some people shop and load their trolleys you would never think the shops are shut for just two days mainly.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I’m home and I survived. It was so easy lol. DH came home from work early so we both went shopping in the car. We went to like a leisure park where they have a huge Home Bargains, A Lidl and an Icelands all next door to each other with lots of parking. We had our shopping list and didn’t stray from it either. Result.
Got all the food and drink we need now for over Christmas, presents all done but have a last minute wrapping session to do (mainly DSs presents as he is still at work and asked me nicely to finish them off. I’ve been extra organised this year as opposed to last year and we haven’t even looked at a CC
Have topped up Gas and Electric and paid funds towards my weekly bills like Virgin Media. I pay this weekly as it works out easier for my budget. Even managed to send a little over to my 52 week challenge.
All in all I will be relaxing this Christmas and not stressing like I was last year. Things can only get better from here on in. God willing

I’ve just spoken to DD and confessed lol she said it’s ok I will bring the TV back that you gave me when I moved, we don’t use it
Problem solved and it didn’t cost me a penny

Thanks cherry although it was hard having DH in tow he did manage to stash 2 boxes of matchmakers in the trolley (Lidl’s own brand) so not expensive but I didn’t realise we already had 2 boxes that I’ve picked up along the way. He said well you did have chocolate on the list. It actually meant drinking chocolate. Matchmaker anyone :rotfl:
Finished wrapping DSs last few prezzies so tomorrow I just need to give the house a going over then we are all ready for :santa2: and his :rudolf::rudolf:
