Thanks Vix - the leisure batteries were at 97% so despite it being winter the solar panel has done its thing. I think yours might be CTEK Multi MX5 - a bit of googling suggests this is the one that reconditions (MX5 brought up lots of Mazda cars, lol) - I have one in the big river basket to discuss with DH (he has something on his motorcycles so he definitely knows something.
Lunch yesterday was lovely - I had calves liver and DH had a huge (think biggest size MM pork pie) game pie and so did the husband opposite me. Both big chaps they were very happy. We all had room for pudding too - in my case profiteroles, lots of crumble and custard so definitely my choice for Saturday evening dinner now. That means apart from whatever fresh green veg I serve, we have the main casserole ingredients sorted. A very meat-rich month really. Next month will be more vegetables.
We have agreed to give up starchy carbs and sugar added to anything (other than when we are out) for lent. I want to lose at least a stone and DH needs to too. I just feel too fat. And out of condition. Been thinking about it since reading about Cheery Daff's improved diet and exercise on her diary and this seems like the right time to do it!
In money news I took the money from the accumulated TT pot to pay for the moho. The fuel was 149.7ppl but with 7p off a litre we saved £2.83 - not bad, filling the car with diesel for under £60. Fuel oil has shot up to over 70ppl yesterday but I am holding out. We have over 100l of oil and I think it will last until the end of March, when the drop in demand should result in a price dip, despite the Russians. I hope I am right.
In the meantime we need to look at the back panel of the van and further investigate a leak in the bathroom. I want to re-paper the bedroom area but the bed head is the back of the van and we know the bit under the window is damp. I must plant seeds today too. And post a letter registered via the post office. The forecast is good for three days so we might do a bit of getting on with it!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I'm definitely doing better without the starchy carbs and sugar. I have slightly more than a stone to lose
so I need something simple to do. I am eating loads of veg and very little processed food which is cheaper and healthier. I am a lot less hungry. I am in my early fifties and I just can't get away with it any more!

I got a M0rrison magic bag too, and was all disappointed with it. But on reflection it was quite similar to yours. I think I was maybe just expecting too much, I’ve had one from c0st Cutter the week before which was much better, but it turns out it’s turned me into a brat!Debt Jan 2017 = £42kMay 2022 = £15k4

Apparently you get more bakery content from the Daily stores, and these are more available but that way lies waistline madness for me.
@themadvix
I am led to believe Morries put the next day's 17.00-21.00 collection up at about 15-30 minutes after that (so by 16.30 on a Sunday). I am always doing other stuff in the evenings so if there is one in the morning, and I want to go, I go for it.
