Bit more money recording this morning. Yesterday we went to the baker (£14 something), the Fishmonger (£7 something), the greengrocer (£10.90 cash) the butcher (£26.62 including meat for a dinner party) and the cafe (£15.20 plus cash tip) and then the pound store (known locally as Harrods, because it so isn't) (£0 - didm't have it) and Morries for a couple of bits (£37.15 of which £21.70 was naughtiness).
This is why I don't shop every week!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I'm going to write down what we eat as DH looks fatter round his belly and my clothes feel tighter than comfortable. I know I need to eat light again because of this but the weather is so cold I want mashed potato! I will record in a diary. Yep, I make myself eat veg, but I really want carbs, lots of them!2023: the year I get to buy a car4

No custard, but I had a bowl of two scoops of ice cream with two ginger biscuits for dessert at DH's suggestion last night. I was late for a bee zoom - however, chocolate also crept in, and supper was a jacket potato with butter, cheese, beans and coleslaw. At least lunch was homemade vegetable soup. A way to go but I felt a little more conscious about what I was eating!
In the dead zone for finances, the loyalty payment from Co-op (£1.26) has been received and shuffled into monthly savings. These are looking somewhat sickly after last month's tax rebate and DH's pension drawdown. A bit low key. Maybe we need to invest in a lottery ticket to liven things up.
It's my cousin's birthday tomorrow and I need to post her card (or take it over, she is nearly en-route to a meeting I am going to (bees again)).
I also need to take the curtains down in the sitting room and dining room and launder them (KC has made me feel guilty) - mine have cat hair on them where Stealth Cat creeps around outside and inside the curtains patrolling her external borders every evening. Sometimes this involves pouncing at the glass too so the bottom pane of the French Door needs a clean tooSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I am currently reducing my carb intake to try to shift a bit of the lockdown flab. I keep reading threads about people eating yummy stuff that I am avoiding. I was on another forum where someone was writing about proper chip shop fish and chips - it was torture
Lucky I like almost all veg (fennel being the only exception so far) so I am happy with piles of veg with every meal. I make a version of Nasi Goreng with cauliflower rice which is better than if it was made with conventional rice (mind you that might have something to do with the liberal amounts of sesame oil)MortgageStart Nov 2012 £310,000
