New Fridge-freezer is on and has everything in it. Still a bit of room in both parts. Just as well as DH (or even me, I need to go somewhere) will go to the market on Friday for fresh fruit and veg. Money is looking weirdly good this month and my RS 5% (HSBC) will pay out next month, in time to pay the house insurance (over £1200 combined) and for the house to be painted (quote is just over £1500 including soffits).Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

I jinxed myself - the shower head (which I often find on the floor of the shower after DH...) has split so another one has been ordered. I also ordered a replacement hose as that looks ropey and about to burst out of the no-longer quite so shiny covering so DH is going to click and collectSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

We got a basic Mira 4 position head and a stainless hose. It works at mains pressure - no power and the original shower tap is Mira too. The old hose was a chrome one and when disconnected, the part behind (impossible to clean without removing) had started to go green. Mercifully the wall had not been impacted. Might have to change my 10 minute cleaning slot to incorporate remove and clean hose now!Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

I made a tray of brownies with my adapted recipe - this time I chopped up formerly frozen pears as well as pecans, tabasco, salt and instant coffee - there was a pudding like bit in the middle (probably the pears) so I liberated it - two dishes with Greek-style yogurt. It was lush! - the rest are going to DS as a cheer them up for him and his housemates and this morning I have made a batch of butternut fingers for him too.
Anything to avoid the painting I should be doing. Off to start that now.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
