I see plenty of drivers struggling to park these mega vehicles in car parks ....maybe the message will get through eventually.

Yeah I read that NCP are to begin widening the spaces they provide across the UK.

They are blooming easy cars to park, folk that struggle would probably still struggle with an Astra.

In your post no. 6 you did admit that the the size of the vehicle caused parking problems .... or maybe it was the size of the parking spaces?

Thanks, perhaps I should have clarified. At times parking spaces are very slim and I usually attempt to park at a distance, usually the end of the car park. Failing that I have been known to take up 2 spaces, for a good reason. The doors on the car are big and quite heavy and having 2 kids, sometimes they open a door without thinking. They have never yet hit a car, but I try and not take the chance when I can.

Build quality of Audi far superior to Rang Rover, expensive running costs tyres and such like front tyres wear on inside edges due to weight of engine The q7 will be good for 250k if looked after ...............Range rover 100k and it will have fell to pieces

Ha did not expect that type of comment. In all honesty I zero experience of Range Rovers so cannot have an opinion one way or another.

We live in a pretty average area and in the last 12 months the number of used Range Rovers going about has increased massively. For me personally I just don't like the shape. However I'm sure I would get used to it over time.

On an Audi forum there was a fella from the states with a Q7. He had already put around 198k on the clock and said the car was still going strong. It was the same year group we purchased and so far we have not suffered any of the issues that the initial year groups had.
