A complete retardis and not just because of the lack of space.

Let's face it though, nobody buys them for practicality, they buy them for the badge.

Are you sure they bought them or were they bought for them.

It's just a bit strange; most people asking for peoples opinions on a car are looking to purchase their first one, and don't then disagree with one using their own anecdotal evidence.

This format of post comes up fairly often, almost exclusively by 1 or 2 members, and is always an excuse to talk about how great their car is. It's usually a car that's pretty unsuited to a money saving forum, too. You must agree that's how this would look to someone else?

So maybe you had a genuine curiosity, and hopefully that's been satisfied. If we've taken you the wrong way then our apologies.

Oh no I certainly did have a genuine curiosity. I'm not so sure I agree with you on the unsuited to a money saving forum though. We are very much about saving money on a weekly basis. This car purchase was only possible at the time due to us receiving very much a one of cash injection. We certainly couldn't afford to buy the equivalent today again. That and I am always looking for way to save money in terms of running it. The budget tyres I that I found for it are really good, a bit more noise than the recommend ones, but I have a small baby that drowns that out! :)

I certainly didn't mean to post a strange post or offend anyone.

We just had one as a loaner from Audi Lincoln as our 2016 TT was in as SWMBO had managed to blow the B&O speakers in the door (how???) but luckily they were covered under warranty (thanks Audi Lincoln, wink wink!).

We loved it, loved it loved it loved it. We had a Chevrolet Suburban LT in Florida last year and, whilst smaller, the Q7 is much much better made. No squeaks, rattles. Everything felt rock solid. We had an S-Line oil burner. MPG was not great but... what a beast.

    Yes we would have one.

I know what you mean, earlier this year in the states, we had a chevy tahoe on rental. It was a decent car for over 5000 miles of driving. It just didn't feel solid like either the Q7 or other cars in the UK. I found the acceleration, for say overtaking, was a bit slow to get going. After it got going it was fine and the boot was blooming huge. As was the car. I saw a Suburban (well saw loads) in New York and they are some serious size. It's a good job fuel is so cheap over there as the 6L V8 engine just chewed through it.

Blew the speakers, wow I wonder how that happened. Good job with the warranty though. When our car was still under warranty it was in for a service and the master technician wasn't happy with the power when accelerating so he put it through as a duff turbo and put a new one in. I honestly couldn't tell the difference, but hey ho I was happy getting a new part for nothing. :rotfl:
