The perils of being a cat lover!

My neighbour is not a huge cat person and mine seem to know this and target her often for their fun and games.
The best one was my little black cat Eve she climbed in through their kitchen window enticed in by the smell of salmon pasta. My neighbour found her sitting in the bowl picking out the bits of salmon from the pasta with my neighbours jack russell staring at her like "ermmm you're not meant to be in there". My neighbour shooed her off the cat made for the window but then did a double back grabbed another piece of salmon and hot footed it awayFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -
I used to have one that did that - Had to be very careful when rolling over in case the claws came out.
Yes I am very much made aware when I roll over! She makes sure she has 2/3rds of the bed and I get a tiny bit! Can't believe a cat can take up so much space!Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

When I first rescued my cats years ago, they had collars with magnets (which they lost years ago and cat flap operates as a normal cat flap) they used to come home with all sorts of things attached to their magnets...spoons, forks, screws, random bits....
Got me thinking at the time that I could send them through cat flaps in neighbourhood get them to wander around the houses and hopefully collect any expensive jewellery on their magnets....cat burglars!Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

I am glad I am not the only one. I often wonder why when I am trying to get comfortable on a tiny edge of the pillow as the cat is sprawled over the rest, why I put up with this. I mean its a cat, and it certainly doesn't give me one consideration when it decides where to sit/sleep so why don't I just pick it up and move it? Answer: I don't have the heart to disturb it.

Definitely this!
I can't believe I will put up with disturbed sleep whilst the furry one sleeps and dreams peacefully in her own world!Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

My beautiful little girl dotty just simply loves to play fetch. Literally like a dog. Will bring me her toy mouse whether I'm cooking dinne, on the loo, in bed or even in the middle of the night and will chase after it when u throw it, bring it back and wait for u to do it again. Will do this for hours. I have even woke up with toy mice in my hair where she has tried to wake me up unsuccessfully!!!

I've got a seven year old boy and a two year old little girl. My girl is obessed with technology...ipads, the TV, washing machines. If something electrical is being used, she wants to join in. My favourite thing is when we facetime my MiL (who she knows well) and she wants to join in and then she runs behind the phone or laptop to go find her but she's not there...it's so funny to watch her confusion!"More people would learn from their mistakes if they weren't so busy denying them." - Harold J. We had to get a bigger bed .... so there was room for the cat. My husband has half of it and I share the other half with the cat. I'm either hanging out one side or I'm screwed up in a ball at the top so the cat can sprawl across the bottom. They both wake up rested whilst I wake up feeling like I've just spent the night in the boot of a rather small hatchback.Norn Iron Club Member 3300 -
Breadcat is going to the vet today so wish us all luck.
When feeling better she loves sitting on paper. Ideally if you are reading it, writing on it, or it is something you want to stay pristine.
But it also amuses me to put a piece- say A4 on the floor and watch her go and sit on it; she tucks all her paws in so she does not go over the edges. Then you remove the paper and replace with a smaller bit- A5, she sits more upright and tucked up. Then you replace with a smaller piece and so on.
It is hilarious watching her try to fit on a postcard!0 -
Do anyone else's cats suddenly decide they want your attention as soon as you try to go to the toilet?
Mine can be in the most standoffish moods but as soon as I go to the loo they decide that now they want to sit on my lap! Really not a good time, mogs.0
