Tasty Veggie Options (Store bought) Recommendations

I mostly cook from scratch and not a meat eater, so always on the look out for good veggie things that are worth buying ( have tried many which are not even remotely tasty) so wondered if anyone had recommendations of things they've tried.
Things I like (and loathe) all rather subjective I know but ...:
Mince - I like the Quorn mince which really nicely takes on the flavour of sauces you put it in and versatile. The Tesco meat-free mince is decent as well and quite a nice texture. I've tried a few other SM versions (Asda, Sains and Morries) and find them all quite rubbery.
Sausages - the only once I've really found that I like is Linda McC ones with Rosemary, quite tasty - good in a cassoulet especially. These are not easy to find though. Can't stand the Quorn ones, bland tasting and a texture of spam (if I remember rightly).
Mushroom Burgers - Tesco own-brand used to do a really good one of these, but I think they are discontinued? (I don't usualy shop in T). Sainsburys Mushroom and Spniach burgers are completely tasteless and so are Morrisons version. Wish I could find a tasty version.
Steak/Escalopes type things - haven't tried these for a while, but something handy like an escalope 'thing' can come in handy for a real quick option. I think the best I found in the past was the Quorn Parmesan and Brocolli escalopes (not great but filling and got addicted to these when I was trying to loose weight a few years ago lol). Sainsburys Pepper 'Steak' is weird and tasteless, but very peppery!
Not really tried the nugget/pieces version of things. Nor have I tried brands from health food stores or Holl&Barr.
Anyone got any tasty recommendations?
Thanks
G

Felafel are very nice and versatile, you can have them cold in a roll, or hot with vegetables, you can even cook them in a veg stew like dumplings.
Most supermarkets have their own and also different flavours, spinach, sweet potato, beetroot.
Also good with salad and hummus on the side, a quick and nutritious meal. HTHFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
SOSMIX
.
The original recipe not the stuff in the health food shops.... I get mine here (in fact, not sure where else sells it):
Shop
Keeps for ages and you can flavour it in all sorts of ways - herbs, chilli, garlic, onion, curry powder etc.
Good for sausages, scotch eggs, rissoles, pies, stuffing.
Canned CHICKPEAS - great for blitzing into hummus for dips or a wrap. Easy for when someone comes unexpectedly.
FIELD MUSHROOMS - went to a VIP buffet last year (ooh, get me) and the veggie option was small bread rolls served with a grilled field mushroom used instead of a burger. Then a choice of the usual toppings. It was really tasty and had enough 'bite' to feel substantial. Never really thought about doing that before then. You live and learn.:hello:1 -
The Linda McCartney Rosemary & Red Onion Sausages are something everybody who has tried them likes... I've never seen a single person post and say they were tasteless or horrid. They're a winner
I've had a cashew nut roast recommended to me, from H&B but they were out of stock when I tried to get one. I think they're seasonal and you need to go in Oct/Nov, not last minute December.
Birds Eye "beef" burgers USED to be really "meaty" and if you hadn't been told they were veggie you'd have never have guessed... but I've not seen those for 20+ years now.
Quorn mince is great as a chilli ... and I've also had their Thai green curry mix, which was really nice.
Morrisons veggie "chicken" nuggets were good, had a bag of those the other year.0 -
Not sure if they still sell them as I couldn't see them last time I was in there (not my usual store, so maybe), but M&S do beautiful veggie kievs. Sadly they aren't cheap either but I used to get them as an occasional treat. Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470

Have a search for cauldron food. Their veggie casserole is very nice.0

Cauldron sausages are really nice.
Falafel as mentioned earlier, is quite versatile. I like to have a couple of falafel with a roast dinner.
Quorn chicken style chunks are good for curries, and the fillets are nice with a sauce.
Tesco has quite a wide selection of veggie stuff in their frozen section.1 -
I like Birds Eye vegetable fingers and Tesco Quarter Pounders.0
-
quorn is on offer (3 for £4 ) at farm foods till the 31st , several different options
you could also try spring rolls for a change0 -
I like the Tesco Cauliflower grills and Sweet Potatato Falafels.0

For ready made quick stuff, I'd recommend Tesco's meat free range (frozen). They have a huge variety of things now - some that are meat substitutes but others that are non-meaty yummy things. I normally prefer things that aren't made to taste like meat nowadays but I make an exception for Tesco's fake bacon!0
