I've spoken to UK Car Park Management Ltd, with no satisfaction.
You were never going to get any. They have an IAS decision in their hands and can smell even more your cash.
The lady on the phone cliamed that they have notices signposted that cover all of Curran Embankment, in Cardiff.

I've also spoken to Cardiff Council who say that Dumballs Road is a public highway.
Looking a GSV, Curran Embankment and Dumballs Road seem to run parallel with each other with not only lots of industrial units between them, but a further parallel road - Curran Road - running between the units and Dumballs Road.

Can you pin-point exactly where you were, because Embankment and Dumballs look (metaphorically) miles apart.

Sorry, I can't seem to pin a link or add an image as a newbie.

You can host an image on a free hosting site like tinypic, imgur, Dropbox then copy and paste the URL, but as you can’t post live links until you have a few more posts under your belt, change the http in the URL to hxxp, that way the forum will accept the paste, but after you’ve posted it, a regular will convert it to ‘live’ status.

"I've also spoken to Cardiff Council who say that Dumballs Road is a public highway."

Have you got that in writing?
Get this in writing, it is crucial evidence. Back in Jan you were advised to gather evidence which you now need. I am not surprised UK CPM are trying court they have suddenly become very active.

Don't waste your time calling these people, you will get nowhere and it likely will cost you money via an 0844 number. They will not cancel nor will they be reasonable, they will take this to court.

You need to gather evidence and start writing your defence. If the location you have parked is confirmed as non-private land then you have an excellent defence right there.

I can see PPC signs attached to the building in the GSV link. I presume the vehicle was parked on the concreted strip in front of the laundry?

The question of the Council is not whether Dumballs Road is a public highway, but up to where does it extend. If it’s to the walls of the units running along its length then parking took place on publicly maintained land. But you need to ask that question.

There are others here who might know a bit more than me on Road Traffic Enactments - so see if anyone else chips in.
