  • We had the same issue. My husband and I were trying to apply over the last couple of days and got to the point where we were setting up online banking and it just wouldn't go any further. Kept saying 'add correct value' but where we didn't know!

Eventually managed to get a call in to TSB and told this was due to an upgrade they had carried out and it didn't recognise Chrome, so we then had to re-do in IE. When we did we just kept getting error message after error message at different stages.

We were going to try again tonight, but it looks like the link has been pulled. Very disappointed!:(

Did not manage it - ah well , applied for HSBC and first direct instead :D
The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.

Does anyone know what dates are used for the £5 pm contactless cashback?

I try to use it to get the £5 and then use my other card to get cashback.

Is it dependent on the statement date the calender month or some other mysterious formula?

The cashback is paid for the previous calendar month. I tend to get mine fairly early in the following calendar month but the date varies a bit.

I thought it was always between 18th and 21st of the following month?

I have only had my account a couple of months and that is why I asked the question. On 21st Feb I did get an email and a credit on my account for the cashback, but not as much as I thought it would be.

Back to square one then. Perhaps I will give them a ring.

It was for me and others in this forum through last year.

This stopped for me on the original account in December, closed and then opened a new classic plus in January but only completed the contactless payments in February so will wait and see if and when it hits in March. Useful extra income now the interest rate has reduced, currently waiting for teh switching bonus as well.
