Some better news, I have sat it out so far as my Fixed Tariff doesn't finish till August and today I received an email saying "Please send us your meter reading".................
First one since January so maybe they are getting their act sorted out!The only true Boro Fan in Aberdeen1 -
Switched to a new supplier from Tonik.Left in credit. Still awaiting refund from Tonik weeks later after final bill. Contacted them 3 times. I have seen similar comments from people. Avoid. Is there anyone who can help us get our money back?0

Avoid. Is there anyone who can help us get our money back?Welcome to the forums. Unfortunately, slow repayments are not unusual: I had to wait 11 weeks with Eco7, a sister company of Outfox The Market, so it may be still early days in your case. However, you should be due compensation if you didn't get a refund within two weeks of the final bill.https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/publications-and-updates/customers-entitled-automatic-compensation-switching-problems-1-mayIt gets better after 1 May 2020 because the final bill has to be issued within six weeks of switching.2

I do hope that Tonik do get themselves sorted out, my account is in credit. I guess my credit would be lost if they went bust.
What happens to their customers supply if they do go bust?

Avoid switching to this company at all costs. Their billing system is a mess. It took me 5 months to get my credit balance returned after leaving. Was just excuse after excuse. That’s when they bothered to answer my messages and emails. They even ignored a registered letter. I only got my money back by involving the Energy Ombudsman.Don’t just take my word for it - a quick search on Google will confirm it’s not just the odd case. There’s even a Facebook page for people with problems getting their money back. Have a look ...0

I've been with Tonik for over a year now and changed tariff a couple of times during the whole billing system change and yes there has been no communication about that which is poor but they've responded pretty promptly to my requests. I guess it's, unfortunately, always different when you're leaving a supplier. Anyway I've submitted meter readings (just done a monthly reminder on my phone, shouldn't have to of course) and being receiving bills normally and just a couple of days ago got my first reminder to submit my meter reading since Christmas time. Maybe I've just been lucky. Hopefully we're over this now and back to normal.1

After a short 25min wait I've just spoken a very helpful man at Tonik lol,
He said can they close my multiple complaints regarding there poor billing issues over the last 6/7mounths,
In exchange they will offer me lower DD a better tariff and they will wavie there £60 Exit Fee,
I think that's the best I'm going to get for the time being.
But I'm still going to switch away when I see a better deal that's suits me.

A lower DD is fairly meaningless unless it was set stupidly high. They could make it 10p/month but it wouldn't do you any good because it wouldn't cover your usage; you'd just get a big final bill when you left.Ignore all projections and claimed savings about the 'better tariff', just do the sums yourself.3 -
