  • Well I'm at work now. Managed to get the DW emptied and reloaded and the kitchen sides cleared and wiped so one things crossed off Level 1! I've decided to aim only for Level 1s, and if I have time to then try and do more as my time is limited in the week and I just get disheartened if I don't get anything crossed off!

Planning to get OH to hoover around downstairs when he gets home - it's almost a daily job at the moment with the dog getting muddy on every walk! Can't wait for the weather to dry up a bit - my house will look sooo much better!

Hooray, I have a head start on today, as I had the kitchen table out from the wall yesterday to give it all a good clean, and vacuumed where it lives. :o

Ionafan which shoulder is it? Maybe we can manage a working pair between us - it's my right one that's giving me gyp. Hope yours is better soon.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Super productive day here :)

I have sold some more bits on ebay, poo-picked, planned our meals for the next week, done two post office trips, two separate school runs, sorted yet more stuff for the charity shop, been to the local hardware store, been to the bakers, vacuumed everywhere, and generally sorted piles of junk out.

Oh and did a load of paid stuff. Phew.

It's a never ending mission isn't it at times x

Unfortunately it's my right one too, but I am gradually becoming more adept at using my left hand. I have a torn rotator cuff after the fall I took in Germany about 3 years ago, aggravated by another fall over a bad paving stone a year later (both of these were partly as a result of my inability to keep my balance when my bunion was so bad - now vastly improved, thank goodness), and arthritis has set into the shoulder joint. As I have discovered to my cost, the most painful movement is reaching forward to shake hands; downward movements are no problem.

With DH's help I have turned out the DR cupboards, wiped all the shelves and put back all the china. I even emptied the lower cupboard with the alcoholic drinks. How on earth have we collected about 25 bottles of whisky, 3 mead, 4 port, 2 Malibu, 2 Baileys, 2 rum, etc etc, when DH hasn't had a drink for almost a year and I hardly ever touch the stuff? - I just use a few tablespoons of Drambuie for my special cakes and slosh a bit of brandy in the Christmas puds! I don't see the point of keeping it all. Do charities still raffle alcohol?

I have also done my reading prep for college, and I'm now about to go out and get DH's car cleaned - I hate it being filthy, and we're giving lifts to two friends this evening.

I have organised an oven cleaning company to do my oven on Thursday, he quoted me £28, I thought not bad, then he says, do you want the hob doing? Ermmm yes, I thought an oven clean was just that cleaning the entire oven. So another £12 on top of that. He then asks if it's glass door and top and what about the grill ? Oh god, I wish I had not bothered. I have a feeling the don't do the out sides as well. Is it me being thick?

Forgot to say earlier that I demoulded the mosaic tiles around the shower this morning - they were gross

DH's car is now sparkling on the outside, my purse is £6 lighter (cheaper than an oven clean!) and I have vacuumed both car interiors, getting rid of the last of the glitter that DGD2 gifted me :D Tomorrow I will take my little car to be washed too.

Must make mushroom omelette for tea now as we have to be out by 6.15.

Lost a lot of guag after the weekend's activities.
I have kept on top of emails.
Have tidied away a few things in the kitchen.
Filled bird feeders and given non-ice water.
Walked my friend's two horses down the road when the ice had melted as she had to work early.
    Finished a report.

Mr N and I are reluctantly going to Ald1 this evening. He has spent much of the day with his mum, but hooray they found her lost purse (although he'd already cancelled cards so will have to wait for new ones).

    Urgh....CBA this afternoon.

I've written a list - two and a half A4 pages and crossed off one item.

I did manage to get the dining room and kitchen reasonably clean and tidy before the school run. Have been roped into collecting another small person and delivering them home again this week as her mum has had a shoulder operation and can't drive. They live at most a ten minute walk from school :silenced:

Only have about half an ironing basket left to do, but I haven't washed Small's mud-caked coat and uniform yet. Pork with fresh ginger and apple sauce in the oven and DH has just rung to say he's on his way home. Tiny has just wafted past and my toenails curled, so off to change his bum...
