Welcome @Squirrelz92!
It's never too late to start and we're a great supportive group, and any PAD big or small, it always welcome and yes it'll help boost our May 2022 balance so thanks.
If you're ever in a position where you don't have anything to PAD then that's fine. I don't PAD everyday as I'm part time at the moment due to health reasons and so I don't have a lot of disposable income, so I mainly just PAD my direct debits or any little extra bits that I can.
But I will say, whatever you can or cannot PAD and no matter how large or small, it's always good to check the thread as often as you can, as it'll keep you motivated. xxDebt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle

Hi,
I would like to join also please 😬 I am hoping to PAD little and often, as my £ situations really uncertain atm but I know how chipping away can really help!!4 -
Welcome @Throughmyfingers!
Great to have you on board and the same principles and advice I gave to Squirrelz92 applies to you too. PAD whatever you can as often as you can, but don't worry if you can't. Even the little pennies all add up, so don't feel pressure for the PADs to be significant, as your journey is unique to you.
Chipping away does really help and there's the Tilly Tidying thread as well which is great, and that encourages you to round down your balance to whole numbers. For example if you £77.82, you could round down to the nearest £1 and put £0.82 aside and have £77 left, or to the nearest £5 and put aside £2.82, so that you're left with £75 or you round to the nearest £10 and pay £7.82 and be left with £70. That's another way to have little bits often enough paid that it starts to really accumulate over time. Some people use that tillying method to pay frequently to their debts without it being massive amounts. Your debt still goes down, and it feels more manageable and you're perfectly in control of whatever works for you. We'll all eventually be debt free, but if your situation is uncertain, just remember that it's a marathon and not a sprint. I'd love to PAD more, but things just are not that way for me at the moment. Here's the link to tillying https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6322671/tilly-tidy-2022.
@LittleMissDetermined has a great diary that I find really encouraging and inspiring in terms of chipping away at things.
Whenever you're feeling overwhelmed by it all, just reach out on this thread, everyone is very friendly. xxDebt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle
