PAD total for 30 October 2022 is £135.41
@Deleted_User saved the day yesterday with a large PAD!My quote was meant as a positive, sorry. I believe that being thankful for those we still have and treasuring the memories of those we have lost is important.I’ll try and come up with something more uplifting next time!27/5/17 Mort 64705 BTs 1904031/12/17 Mort 59815 BT 1673007/04/20 Mort 49208 BT 1572128/07/20 Mort 47387 BT 1263414/11/20 Mort 45905 BT 10134 20/05/21 Mort 42335 BT 686811/08/22 Mort 32050 BT 2915Sealed Pot Challenge 16 Number 51

I hope you're mum is doing better @shell16, you've had a tough year, but I hope your mum is getting settled and the trip to see her is not taking too much of a toll due to the distance.
That quote got me in the feels as well @LittleMissDetermined, as it made me long for the moments when I had absolutely nothing to say to my dad when he was having a dementia episode, but I miss the opportunity of that silence if it makes sense?
I've put £18.15 in my virtual pot for the penny challenge.Debt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle

I think the quote did that perfectly so don't worry 😘. It reminded me that I need to slow down and enjoy the silence now and then and appreciate what and who I have around me, and yet it also remind me of what I have lost and cherish. Life is so very short, and we do need to slow down to appreciate it as we are often focussing on targets and forgetting that living exists in the moments where nothing much seems to happen. I think giving ourselves permission to do nothing is sometimes the best gift of all.AntoMac said:My quote was meant as a positive, sorry. My sister paid me back what she had borrowed from my emergency fund, so I have put £100 to the emergency fund.Debt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle

            That was my thinking @Keedie
It’s like the John Lennon lyric ‘Life is what happens to you when you’re busy making other plans’ from Beautiful Boy, which I sing to my old boy cat
