This thread gets longer every day!
Can't remember all the replies but Michelle my LO drives me mad with paddys at the moment especially when OH leaves for work if I just give him one chocolate button from the fridge he shuts up straight away!! Not that I am promoting bribery but he is my 3rd so anything for an easy life!
I also like the look of those scales - just got really into baking thanks to this site and made flapjacks and jam tarts tonight but my scales are so cheap and hard to read its all guess work!
Pigpen please could I have recipe for choc loaf - my lot would like that!
Had to rehoover and s & s kitchen after baking and also did 20 mins ironing so a bit of flying done after all!
Have a nice evening all!0 -
1.5 cups water
1 egg (out of the shell!)
1.5 tbsp dried milk
1.5 tbsp oil (whatever you've got I've used alsorts)
3/4 cup sugar
3 cups bread flour (I have used plain and it's been fine too!)
1 tsp salt
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1.5 tsp dried yeast
Usually I chuck the lot in the breadmaker.. and when it bleeps I add 50g of smashed up chocolate.. chill a big bar of chocolate until hard when whallop with hammer!!
Otherwise make to the usual bread recipe and bake in the oven as normal.. doesn't take quite as long as a normal bread loaf though. I chop it into chunks rather than slices and out it in lunch boxes.. sometmies we slice it and toast it and spread with jam, honey, lemon curd or butter or I just eat it naked.. like a muffin.. NYOMNYOMNYOM!!

Hiya
Well we survived today. DS was a total star and took it all in his stride. I'm so glad his op is over and hope this is the last one for a few years. I've done no flying but will start again tomorrow or probably Thursday. I'm going to have a very, very, very large glass of wine. xxJanuary budget
Nothing left!0 -
Evening everyone. 8 pages to catch up on today!!
List has been done apart from hoovering the stairs, that can wait til tomorrow.
I was going to clean the window, but it poured with rain so I couldn't, good excuse or what?!
Mushy Peas= slugs and poo what a combination
FrankieM- we all need a quiet day once in a while
AnW's mum- how big is that bear? hope your calls go ok
Shirley- fingers crossed for Friday, will there be a flylady housewarming?
shell- rusty is so cute, do your LO's read the Poppy and Sam stories?
Katie- good luck with the cupboard!
embb- hugs to you, hope you get the car thing sorted
lil_me- great news you are so pleased with the car
michelle- hugs to you
tracy- hope your LO is feeling ok
Big, big hugs for borderlakland, such sad news.
DS was on the computer tonight whilst i was hoovering the lounge and I was forbidden to look at what he was doing. It turned out he was making a love chart with mine and DH's name on and then lots of stars to show how much he loves us! That's going up on the wall.
Definitely needed my early night last night and just off for another now, especially as DH kept me awake snoring again.
See you all tomorrow....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.
