There a !!!!!! to unlock, I think u get 5 attempts at it, have you tried this one before

How more times do I have?

Do I need to put simcard in when I put the code?

(e.g Automatically reboot, show the message or menu, etcs)

I bought 6080 today, It`s brand new.
But there is NO Orange mark on the box and on the phone.
Is it okay?

because I also use Nokia 2610 which is impossible to unlock it by only code.
There are Orange marks on the box & on the phone.

When I put the simcard which I used(2610) in 6080, It worked.
But I don`t have another simcard to try if it is unlocked.

you should put a different sim (other than orange) to enter the code.
this will also show if it is unlocked already.
orange usually brand their phones so you may have got sim free stock -where did you get it from

A friend of mine needs a phone unlocked so she can use it abroad.

I've tried my best, but no luck

locked network: T-MOBILE

nokia 3410 (I think)

I got it from Carphonewarehouse today.

It is Available on Orange, T-Mobile, O2, Virgin mobile, Vodafone, Mobile World and Fresh Mobile.

I don`t really know about GSM phones because I`ve been in UK for just 3 weeks.

However, I think there is a possiblity that my 6080 might be unlocked already.

Actually I have 3 mobile phones.

Samsung W200 - 3G -(which I brought from Korea and doesn`t work in UK)
Nokia 2610 - GSM -
Nokia 6080 - GSM -

and I also have 3 sims.
2 are Orange
1 is SK telecom (which I used in Korea)

When I put SKT simcard in 6080 and turn it on, I can see T-Mobile UK Logo and Full Antenna signal on the screen.
Also 6080 updates its time and date automatically.

but There is a message "Card is locked to a specific handset"

I think it`s normal because SK telecom locks the handset and the simcard in Korea.
They must be paired to work.

However, when I put SKT simcard in 2610 which is definitely locked, I can see only a message "Phone restricted"
No antenna signal, No logo.

As you said, I should try another sim to make it sure before running out of luck.
