Ive bought a USA t mobile sim and tried it in my 6230i which is unlocked to uk networks,I presumed this would mean it would work with a US sim aswell but it comes up "phone restricted" abd when you press undo it asks for a restriction code, what does this mean and where can I get one?

What is the IMEI number of the phone and what network was the phone originally on when you bought it (i.e what was the network the phone was locked to when new)

IMEI is 357969005408088 it was an orange handset, I thought id unlocked it myself, but ive sinse read on here something about having to put another network sim in the 6230i when you unlock it????

Yes put a non accepted sim in the phone and enter this code

Only try the codes once, I think some of the newer models cant be unlocked by free codes, so it maybe one of those, but am not 100% sure about that.

but ive tried both codes and phone says cannot undo restriction then phone restricted any ideas what else i can try
