I've spent most of my morning scouring the internet and have come across websites with claims of successfully unlocking Nokia 5000 - for free. How's that possible? I believe they have access to some online code generators(JAF) that they are using. I'm not sure about all the technical jargon, but it would appear to be possible. Or have I got it all wrong?

Are you sure it's locked to 02, try some different networks in the phone if you can to find out. It may be unlocked already.

k, i'll have a go with someone else's sim card and let you know, It's an old phone i would like to take over to america next month.
O2 would charge me £15 and take 28 days to unlock my latest N73.

you were right, both my 3230 and the N73 are already unlocked, i tried both a T-mobile and Orange sim card, i don't really understand how but not complaining, many thanks

Hi there - hoping someone can help me to unlock a Nokia 7610 Supernova.

IMEI 3557 0702 2782 784

currently locked to O2 (works on Tesco who use O2 I believe). I want to be able to use it on T-Mobile & Vodafone if possible.

can anybody help with the unlocking of this particular model,it's on 3 at the moment and they want £175 to unlock it because i'm still under contract.
