Are you putting the code in without a sim card in the phone ? If not then take the sim out and you have to enter the code quite quickly, it will say either code error or phone restriction off when you enter the final digit.

Hi - I spent 1.99 getting an unlock code on ebay for my phone (before realising you guys generously give them for free). As luck would have it, the code didnt work so I got a refund so I was wondering whether anyone could help me out

MODEL: NOKIA 6111
IMEI: 353657011115938
NETWORK: Virgin

I was thinking that 'maybe' the reason that the code didn't work before was because although its a Virgin SIM card when I put it in the Nokia 6111 'T-Mobile' is registered network that comes up on the screen. Also I dont know whether codes are like Pins and if you enter them too many times it messes the phone up so I have only tried the code from ebay once (it was definately right through)

The £1.99 ones are nearly always a waste of time and money

the unlock code will be 1 of these,use them only once though

Put another sim card that isnt o2 in your phone and enter this code

It will work because thats the only code for the 6230i, enter it with a non accepted sim and without spaces

1. To show p in the phones display - just press * three times within two seconds.

2. To show w in the phones display - just press * four times within two seconds.

3. To show + in the phones display - just press * twice within two seconds.

You have to enter the code quite quickly, it will give you a message on the phone when you put the final digit in.
