Free Unlock codes for Nokia Phones 7 (U.K. Networks Only)

Insert a WRONG sim card, one that doesn’t work in your phone. When it says phone restricted, press ‘undo’. It will ask you for a restriction code, and input the code into the box on the screen.

Tried putting both an O2 and an Orange sim card in and after typing in the unlock code it comes back with a message "phone restricted".

Does this mean I am now in a hardlock situation and will need to do more than enter an unlock code?

Double check the phones IMEI number, you have to enter the code quite quickly and without spaces

1. To show p in the phones display - just press * three times within two seconds.

2. To show w in the phones display - just press * four times within two seconds.

3. To show + in the phones display - just press * twice within two seconds.


If the phone is hardlocked the message will dislplaay "cannot undo restriction"

I have double checked the IMEI code and it is correct.

I am using the * key to get the pw and + sign and as far as I can tell am entering the code pretty quickly.

I guess I only have two more attempts before the damn thing gives up on me, now that you have confirmed that I am not in hardlock mode just yet.

I appreciate your persistence with me on this!!

Think the best thing to do is get somebody to read the code out for you, a message will appear when you have entered the final digit of the code, is should only say enter restriction code if you haven't pressed a button for a few seconds.

Thanks for the advice. I got my other half to read out the number for me, however when I have typed in the last # key nothings happens and I then have to press the OK button. Then it says phone restricted again with the little stop sign next to it. So, for the fifth time I re-tried again but to no avail. However now when I turn the phone on it just says phone restricted, waiting for me to press the undo button again.

I thought you only had 5 attempts before it hard locked, so why now am I still getting the option to enter another unlocking code???

With the 6230's you only get 3 attempts, so I think your phone now is hardlocked. You need to take it to a pro unlocker, for direct unlocking.
