    Hi,

Haven't QUITE got my head round this unlocking thing, but nearly. Searched other posts on here for codes for an old Nokia 1100 locked to Virgin and found differing answers. I thought all "specimens" of the same phone would use the same code but now I'm not so sure. And I used up two attempts last night on a code I got online, before reading at the start of this thread that some of those sites are giving out the wrong codes.

So, I need a code for my Nokia 1100, which is locked to Virgin and has the IMEI 355695006304867.

    Thank you so much.

    Sorry...

Do I put the new sim in the phone and THEN unlock it, or unlock it FIRST and put the new sim in afterwards? Sorry to be a nuisance, don't want to mess up my remaining attempts.

No enter the code without spaces without a simcard in the phone, only try the code once as there are 2 possibilitys

OK that didn't work. As soon as I had finished entering the code the phone just said "Clear" above the Call button.

I tried the Orange sim but it still says "Sim not valid".

    Do you have another code?

You have to enter the code quite quickly, it should say code restriction off if successful or code error if it isnt, try the first code I gave again and if not it will be

No..it's neither of those, they both say "Code error". Realised my mistake the first time was I forgot to include the # at the end. But I have now tried both codes carefully and got "Code error" twice.

Any other ideas? Not sure if i have any attempts left.
