But it won't work with a T-Mobile sim. Just says "SIM card registration failed"

suspect the sim card is faulty, not the phone locked (ot the phones is blocked as lost/stolen somehow on T-Mobile)

Hmmm. The T-Mobile SIM works perfectly well with another Nokia phone I have had un-locked and I can use my O2 sim with the Nokia 6111 so I doubt that the phone has been blocked. I thought that Vodaphone and O2 were compatible which would explain why I can use my O2 SIM card in a phone locked to Vodaphone but not the T-Mobile?
