A nice one here for you unlock experts!I have a nokia 2310 that I'm trying to get unlocked by virgin. This has been going on for sometime. They can't help as nokia sent them a batch of 2310's without the unlock code. Whether they have contacted nokia to request them or not, they say they cannot do anything for me. Am I right in saying you guys still can't unlock these with the straightforward codes? If you can my IMEI is 356424019941915If nokia/virgin can't help, if I took the phone to a market stall would they be able to do it, even if nokia can't?A friend also has one of these, his IMEI is 359831010844384, they gave him the code which was #pw+967822600285129+7# THIS worked for his phone. Would it also work for me if I tried it? In the past some people have said change the last number between the + and #, would it work for my phone? How many times can you try a code before it permanently blocks the phone? Finally, can you guys do a nokia 2610, IMEI 353968018419466?Thanks0

I'm wondering if anyone can help. I am considering buying a Nokia 2630 PAYGO mobile phone. I am currently with Tesco Mobile and would like to remian with them as I usually only use my phone for texting and 5p per text is perfect for me. However, about 5 times a year I go to West Wales for a weekend up to a fortnight at a time where the O2/Tesco coverage is only 4%. I never get a signal. I have discovered that Vodafone's signal is best in that area (around 40-50%). I'd like to buy a Nokia 2630 from Carphone Warehouse for £29.99 PAYGO on Vodafone. If I could unlock the phone, could I switch the SIM from Tesco to Vodafone whenever I went to Wales? Then I'd have contact with home without driving 10 miles to get signal. Sounds complicated I know. Any advice welcome.
Essentially my question is:
Will I be able to unlock a new Nokia 2630 on Vodafone?
Thanks
Hi up2mischief,
Yes you can unlock a phone that is locked to Vodafone even if it is a new phone. We would charge you £19.99 for the unlocking code in the first 12 months. After 12 months the code would be free. You can get phones unlocked using third parties which may be free or less expensive, however this may invalidate your warrantly if the unlocking damages the software of the phone in any way.
You can request an unlock code from us via e-mail or telephone. To get in touch you can either call us on 191 from your Vodafone or e-mail us using our Vodafone online contact us form here.
We'll need the make, model and IMEI number of the phone to be unlocked. The IMEI is 15 digits long and start with 35. You can get the code from a sticker in the battery compartment or by pressing *#06# and it will show up on the screen of the phone.
Hope this is useful information for anyone reading.

Gaming_guy,
Sorry but I don't have any cables to connect it in pc with my mobile. I was thinking if there's any unlock code so I can open it without those USB cables etc. I have already written the IMEI, Country, Network and Model of phone.
Helps would appreciated.0
