3586350138462833
Can someone guide me thrugh what I have to do - what SIM Card must be in the phone at the time etc
Many thanks
I just tried unlockitfree.com, it worked. They actually guide you through quite well. I don't think you need a working sim card. My Nokia 1600 was new from TMobile. I just left the new sim card (without credit) staying inside and entered the code as generated. I am very pleased with myself as I have never done anything technical like this. Good luck.0 -

Hi
I'm wondering if anyone can help. I am considering buying a Nokia 2630 PAYGO mobile phone. I am currently with Tesco Mobile and would like to remian with them as I usually only use my phone for texting and 5p per text is perfect for me. However, about 5 times a year I go to West Wales for a weekend up to a fortnight at a time where the O2/Tesco coverage is only 4%. I never get a signal. I have discovered that Vodafone's signal is best in that area (around 40-50%). I'd like to buy a Nokia 2630 from Carphone Warehouse for £29.99 PAYGO on Vodafone. If I could unlock the phone, could I switch the SIM from Tesco to Vodafone whenever I went to Wales? Then I'd have contact with home without driving 10 miles to get signal. Sounds complicated I know. Any advice welcome.
Essentially my question is:
Will I be able to unlock a new Nokia 2630 on Vodafone?
Thanks0 -
Hi
I have searched this thread but cant find out whether this phone can be unlocked. Somewhere it mentions the bb5(?) unlocker but when I searched on that it doesnt mention the 6085.
Can someone tell me whether this phone can be unlocked and point me in the right direction?
Many Thanks

i think both these models have the newer security on them (not bb5 afaik), but i'm not too sure.
a local shop/market stall should be able to unlock them for you0 -
Thanks for the reply. Can you tell me how much approx I should expect an unlock to cost (so I know I am not getting ripped off! )0

Hi
When I enter a code I get this message 'cannot undo restriction'. Does that mean I need to get this unlocked through some tool or other, rather than via software?
BTW, you're doing a great job here, thanks for all your help0 -
you need to find a shop or market stall to unlock it with some service equipment, should cost you about £5Ex forum ambassador

Thanks gaming guy. Sorry to seem dense but what type of shop would unlock for me? Could I go into any mobile phone shop for example?
Thanks again0
