Hi everyone. Well, did a bigger shop than I wanted, but am still in budget, just. I am going to declare at £79.26/£80. Hopefully I will not spend any more the next few days, but if I do, I will add to April. Leaving 74p for 'Grocery Overflow Jar'. See you over on April everyone.0

Yesterday I bought a box of cereal bars that I had absolutely no need for just because they were reduced. They will get used up, it's just that we already have plenty of hm cakes and flapjacks in the freezer that should be used up rather than buying new. Still, it was only £1.39 so I'm declaring at £93.77/£100 for this month as I'm not going near any food shops between now and Saturday. See you on April's thread!0

Elsie, I'm sorry to hear about your pet rat - they are super intelligent little creatures as wellBought my first meat since Christmas. Beef and lamb is on offer at Asda at £5 a killo so bought a joint of each total £20.60.
My lamb turned out to be off so took it back but was delighted to find it was refund and replace so got £10 40 refunded and a replacement joint. I bought another beef joint and a chicken with the refund. So for a 10.20 spend now have 2 joints of beef, a leg of lamb and a chicken in freezer. Well set up for April now and well on track to buy my new fridge freezer at the end of the month.Islandmaid wrote: »NSD here
Going away for a couple of days tomorrow for DH's birthday
Well, I cannot believe it! I know we still spend a lot considering how much other people manage to spend; However... it's the second last day of our month and we have spent the grand total of £238.58 leaving £71.42 over :j:j:j The only thing I think is that it's been done at the expense of more fruit and veg - I've gone off it at the moment and don't particularly want to have as much as I did before
We did have a meal out on Mother's Day and had a takeaway on my birthday as well (Tuesday), but this would account for much less than 10% of our savings.
We still seem to have a decently stocked cupboard and plenty of meals in the freezer, so are well placed for next month. We do have a few days away as well, which should also help the budget.0 -
I have bought lots of fruit and veg on Monday.I have ran out of a few things but they'll wait. Last of normal vegan milk which was stock piled, so only have chocolate milk in ... no good in mash, and almond yoghurt didn't taste great!
I will try and be more consistent with posting during April.
I have shopping coming tomorrow, but it's classed as an April shop not March. It is mostly handwash on offer at Ocado and washing up liquid. I have just bulk bought shower gels and shampoo and conditioner from Superdrug which i will add to April's spend and any Amazon bits due which are groceries or toiletries/cleaning stuff. The rest is yoghurts and a few veggie items for daughter, and a mixture of veggie and frozen vegan bits. Ordered the new Swedish Glace Almond and Cocoa ice cream to try. Does anybody know of any with no palm oil? Seems impossible to avoid unless you make your own.
Will update spends and report back. Not too bothered if i go overn in April as it's mine and daughter's birthday. Will be mindful though.
See you all over in April. I will post this again there, so apologies if reading this twice.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £89.90/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month.
