Sorry about your rat Elsiepac, it is so sad when animals go.
I've done my last shop today and bought extra milk so barring anything very exciting happening, that's me done for March.
This month I spent £38.00 with a target of £45. I'm not doing to drop my target down as I'll be changing up my meal plans as it gets warmer and not sure if that'll cost more (eg branflakes instead of porridge etc). My kitchen doesn't have a window so cooking in there is not very pleasant when it's hot so I'll need to come up with some new meal ideas - either cold or using the slowcooker.0 -
Bought my first meat since Christmas. Beef and lamb is on offer at Asda at £5 a killo so bought a joint of each total £20.60.
My lamb turned out to be off so took it back but was delighted to find it was refund and replace so got £10 40 refunded and a replacement joint. I bought another beef joint and a chicken with the refund. So for a 10.20 spend now have 2 joints of beef, a leg of lamb and a chicken in freezer. Well set up for April now and well on track to buy my new fridge freezer at the end of the month.Slimming World at target0 -

what an absolute bargain! i hate it when stuff is off and you have to rethink dinners but in this case it worked out well for you
i did my last shop today on the way home from hospital, a pizza from lidles and some french beans 'fell' in the box cos I couldn't resist them as they were on offer this week.
I think i'm going to declare £148.35 for the month cos won't need anything tomorrow, i'm stunned it's that low cos early in the month it was racking up at an alarming pace.
means i'll have to be organised and make bread tomorrow but that's not bad thing, will be able to take stress out on the dough!0 -
Well today I have crashed and burned haha. Lat shop of this month- week 5, and I have gone over by £15.27... I had to make the decision whether to overspend today and have enough until next week, or buy a weeks shopping and save myself having to go back in a few days, chose the latter and will be taking the £15 over off of next months budget. So I ended on £135.27/£120.00 not too bad. Where do I sign up for next month?? XSealed pot challenge 10 - 123 : )
It all started with a penny and a pot..

We get paid on 24th of the month so tend to do big shop just after. I am a returner to the thread after a few years away. What I can't work out is whether to start my challenge on 24th of month or wait until the first. Any advice will be very welcome. I have kept all receipts from this month and food spends are much higher than we realised so this thread is really going to help me get back on track. As someone who worked with weezl on cheap recipes I should know better.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
