    Afternoon all,

Well breakfast was porridge and some berries for a change :)
Lunch was an egg salad sandwich.
Dinner will be some monkfish that I found in the freezer with some new potatoes and steamed veg.

I have some salad bits that need using up but I think they will last until tomorrow. I need a break from salads.

Now I want one, I had cheese salad one for lunch but tomorrow will def be cheese & HM chutney

Seeing some foods on here is a bit like seeing someone yawning, contagious but widens the ideas pool

No breakfast, somehow two jam butties appeared in my paws as I watched tele last night, and then a banana unzipped itself later.

That is one reason I do not have a snack cupboard, it would never be full longer than a day, if it is there I eat it, my solution is to not buy snack foods in the first place, so no biscuit barrel or half opened choccie boxes here

Today's dinner is the last rump steak, I will grill it with mushrooms and have a baked spud plus salad sides with it. Egg & chips would be nice but getting to be too repetitive lately so going for the healthy option this time, especially with the bargain Lidl bakers in the fridge

Weather dull and a bit cool, just right for me to get out later and sort out the tree that was rained off yesterday, could perhaps work of a few jam butty calories but suspect I would need to chop down Epping Forest to do that properly

My trike is my transport and trolley combined, I think more people should have one. Mine is the only form of realistic daily exercise I can do as I am very limited in my walking.
Whilst appearances can be deceptive, I often see people getting off mobility scooters and moving with far more ease than me.

Time for tea - Jack Monroe's Creamy Salmon Pasta, oh yum. Off to make it as my tummy is rumbling at the thought.

    I've overdone it :)

In trying not to "look like a granny" with the shopping trolley, as I was walking and going up/down kerbs, I was simply hoisting the bag into the air and carrying it across road, up/down kerbs, round the outside of packed bus shelters to avoid the crowds.... and I've pulled my shoulder :)

Tea was a simple: Beans and cheese on toast ...

Then I had a cheeky bowl of honey nut cornflakes. That'll be the 6th bowl I think, so I'm about half way down the pack now.

    Ouch PN:(
I didn't get much done in the garden as the weather decided to rain again until a short while ago and my wrist is still iffy even strapped:(. Still 3 plants potted on and 2 wallbaskets done (just 12 of these to go) so not a completely wasted day.:) I'm just waiting for my sister and nephew to arrive for a confab about a situation he has got himself into at work so dinner will be a late one. I might just keep the guinea fowl and not quite rissotto to make tomorrow and have something quick instead:).
  • Duly taken on board the suggestions here portioning of cheese and defrosted huge packet of cheddar and then cut it into 1 oz portions and put them back into the freezer again. Will do that in future.

Just had my dinner - tofu satay recipe from the vegan thread on here at present. Was with couscous. Followed by a satsuma and glass of milk. Is feeling full now.

Planned dinner isn't happening tonight as sister and nephew have just departed. Something easy will sorted out shortly! I'll probably make some wedges and have breaded fish and broccoli with them:)

I had some sneaky chocolate spread/toast and honey nut cornflake snacks throughout yesterday evening :)

    Worra piggy :)

Today I have the use of 1½ arms. I can use my arm a bit if I hold the top part against my body, but if I use it wantonly it bl00dy hurts. That's what happens when you want to appear "youthful" and start swinging wheeled trolleys around :)

For breakfast today I had 1/5th of a large tomato.... because I made up two rounds of cheese/tomato sandwiches and put them in a lidded container in the fridge - and had 1/5th of a tomato left over, so rather than wrap it up .... I thought I might as well just eat it.

Lunch will no doubt be those sandwiches. In a perfect world, in the summer/hot months, I'd find a spot of time each evening to pre-box sandwiches "for tomorrow" so I always had either an easy lunch, or something to grab and take out on a whim. There can be nothing worse than standing and thinking "It's nice out there, I should go out", only to realise that you need to eat - and to then "waste" time making sandwiches to take out ... by which time you've often "missed your went".

I am not sure yet if those sandwiches will be eaten here at home.... or out.

Sorry to hear about your arm PN I hope it starts to feel a bit better as the day goes on, and that you get more movement in it. At least I know not to do what you have with my new trolley when it arrives. I hope that it arrives today at the shop and then I can pick it up first thing in the morning. It will be good to be able to go to some different and more importantly cheaper shops. :)

As you have made the sandwiches you may as well go out now :D (if the weather is good where you are). It's cloudy here but we are getting sunny spells so hopefully the sun will break through soon.

Have a good time if you do decide to go out.
