I know I shouldn't find it amusing but the thought of you running over that poor boy's foot did make me smile. I'm wondering if there should be some sort of lessons in trolley driving and a test a the end
I was pulling it behind me - just fingertip control by hooking a finger under the handle and dragging it behind me.... but I hadn't realised that the trolley is wider than me, I thought I'd be wider. The wheels from outer edge to outer edge are 13" ... and I'm closer to 11" wide. It was just one wheel and it didn't weigh anything
He was about 7-8 too, so almost my height.
It's dog eat dog out there... and he needs to learn that0 -
Hi CFO people. May I join you on this thread? I have been lurking for a few weeks now and have gained much useful insight despite being a veteran CFOer.
It took me a few days and lots of head scratching to work out what YS was - initially thinking it must be a supermarket I had not heard of - Duh!
Finally I gave in and typed it into MRGoogle - how stupid I had never twigged the stickers were always yellow.
Well to confirm my OS credentials too, I went into Mr Marks late yesterday and picked up a pack of BBQ chicken drumsticks at £1.50 reduced from £6 and sweet potatoes at 60p for two. So far that was a good meal last night, lunch and another good meal today - so am feeling full and a little smug!
I am used to repetitive eating as a long time CFO and ring the changes with relish or adding a bit of this and that and the like.
I have also been shamed by the quantities of fruit and veg you all seem to consume whereas I rarely get my five (let alone 10??!!) a day. I am spurred to change this now.
PN - loved the little boy foot story - L plates needed?Guard your pet trolley from dogs though, you're not a seasoned trolley user until you've had to rescue it from dog attack - either loudly barking or overly amorous!

Don't be too quick to be shamed, I think for some of us, the 10 a day thing was rather tongue in cheek
I'm currently on 0/10 (not boasting, honest) though 'dinner' might, if I fiddle the quantities a bit, amount to 2/10 :A...I'm having shredded cabbage, tuna and mayo mix with a sliced tomato in a baguette (no surprises there)
Oh and welcome poppystar

Welcome poppystar
The joy for me of this thread is that there is no right or wrong way to be a CFOer, we all do what works for us best to suit our budget/lifestyle/general approach to life:)
I try to eat relatively healthily (by my standards) but mainly focus on not eating the same thing all the time, try not to be endlessly using up "stuff" and generally enjoying my food .0 -
Welcome poppystar :hello:
I don't think I get in the 5 a day every single day. I try to eat healthily but I also have far too much bread/bakery products and cakes/desserts really.0 -

I thought you were going to warn me that they pee up against them .... I'd actually not thought about dogs at all .... and certainly wouldn't have thought a dog would hump a trolley! I'll keep an eye out...0 -
Thanks for the welcomes:)
Just upped the fruit count for today with mango and frozen berries……and just a small (:D) spoonful of clotted cream0 -
I've had a bowl of honey nut cornflakes, another scone/margarine .... and a sneaky choccy
Today's 10/day count would consist entirely of how many sultanas are in four of the Morries 50p/10 scones + one tomato.
Are nuts on the cornflakes veggies? They're root veggies .... they must count for something.0 -

Ok, I'll confess to having liberated a scone from the freezer and having it with butter and jam (no cream unfortunately). I'm sure you talking about scones will mean that I will now be into them for a couple of weeksI've also had a crumpet and some toast this evening.
For some unkown reason I find that if I go out for lunch I then graze on carbohydrate foods for the evening. It's almost as if eating outside my usual food kick starts some sort need to carry on eating even though I don't need it
You can't have many portions of those honey nut cornflakes left now? You seem to have had quite a few portions0 -
I've had an ice cream and 5 roses chocolates with a glass of milk
Feel sick now..off for a lie down.
