I`m another from the NW, used to go to southport often and the lovely ainsdale sandhills. Rambling all over later, rivington pike, N Wales. Fabulous and fabulous wonderful friendly humerous people. You could hear the roar from anfield, where I used to live as a child
Got some work being done later this morning, so lunch will have to be quickly prepared and I can`t think of better than a stir fry similar to that which I enjoyed yesterday. This time I have some fermented tofu which is going in with the veggies, ok I can hear PN groaning :rotfl:.
I am going to offer them brownies from the freezer, to take them away from picky mouth hunger temptation (mine). Don`t know what, later for my last meal but whatever it will be fine because I get plenty of veggies into the stir fry. Maybe it will be goats cheese on crackers0 -
Is anyone else doing the Ristorante pizza offer posted on MSE you buy one at 1.25 which has a code for £1. off your next one. You can do this four times giving you 5 pizzas for £1.25. I don't eat them but am doing it for my DIL.Slimming World at target0

Oh well. Today I will be mostly thinking about floppy belly bits and staring forlornly at food thinking "You rotter!"
I will eat 2 weetabix for breakfast as I have a pint of milk to get through ... no idea beyond that.

I use be a single-person household and manage to cook for myself only. I can eat whatever I want without getting the consensus of others. However, it seems like I m not into the mood in cooking for more complicated foods and just stick to simple dish for one person because I'm just the one who will be able to taste the food I tend to cook.
on the other hand, what I just usually do is that i have my own menu for todays meal and then i buy some groceries beforehand. i just cook in the morning with what is noted in my menu and then whats left in the morning, i will microwave it for my evening meal.0 -

Welcome to CFO board, and the qoute fits nicely into our often mentioned CBA [can't be ar5ed] one life style as you will soon spot as you progress through the postings
This morning was just a banana, made a change from marmalade I thought
Lunch was abit more exotic, at least by my standards, becasue the Asda mooch bagged a few YS items, including coarse Ardennes pate, swearing like a trooper it was
So that made lunch with some toast and a tom, felt posh as I listened to radio, so posh I missed the doorbell from DPD parcel delivery, I did hear it, but by time I got to front door the van had vanished, must be in a Tardis with that speed
The Asda YS also provided some mixed salad leaves which was handy because I had decided to have a salad tonight, using up some of the LO raost pork from yesterday, splashed out on salad cream as well
And now the sun has gone, cloudy and cold, and I have a nice cold salad for dinner, with HM spud salad as well, with first harvest of a sprig of mint from the garden
Luckily I now have crumpets in, the continuous talk on here made me get some, at 50p for 9 so must be quality ones
Now all I need is ideas for a lots of LO roast pork, I think I have a pie sort of factored in, if I CBA to make pastry, otherwise it will be a naked pieGardener’s pest is chef’s escargot0 -
The weekend went a bit to pot food-wise here. Saturday I was out all day so ate a sandwich in the car on my way out. Ended up with chicken wings on the way home
Yesterday I had HM pizza, already made so just shoved in the oven. Last night was HM pasta sauce (toms, bacon, mushrooms, peas) with pasta shapes and mozzarella.
Today I have made some bean burgers (mashed beans with seasoning, made into patties and shoved in the oven), carrot soup and wedges. Ate some soup for lunch and a LO baked potato.
For tea I'm having wedges, scrambled eggs and baked beans.0 -

I had a banana this morning as well, it's nice to have a change every now and again.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who has felt it necessary to buy some crumpets!0 -
I had 2 fishcakes for lunch (Iceland/12 for £1) and a bit later on a slice of toast with the last of the chocolate spread
I need more of that... it's great on crumpets too

Just had something minging.... A5da/cheapo Irish Stew... thought I'd treat it like a chunky soup, so toasted a bread crust.
There were TWO floppy bits of skin in there... ewwwww.
Won't buy those again!
It's just bits of mutton, spuds, carrots, peas in a thick gravy .... but floppy skin bits is a huge "no no".

Good evening everyone
Welcome JessaEra:)
PN - Yuk, I had a tin of this once not the Asda one but some other brand that came in a hamper I won. It was rank and even pooch wasn't impressed and that takes some doing:cool:
I've had the most lovely day, friends I hadn't seen for ages came for lunch. My quiche turned out fine no "soggy bottom" despite leaking a wee bit. Of course despite my measuring I have mix left over as I forgot to factor in the space the filling took up. The weather was really horrible this morning so I made soup to go with the "picky bits" platter I had put together but by the time folk arrived the sun had came out so it wasn't really needed so I still have a big pan left. One of my friends had made a lovely chocolate fudge cake which was lush, as I've not got a sweet tooth I new I wouldn't use up the leftover cake so the "girls" split it between them. Lots of "bits" left so I need to have good fridge go through tomorrow. After such a big lunch I'm just going to have a mug of soup with some pate and baguette later:D
