Cooking for one

Last night, I ended up having mashed potatoes and coleslaw as my throat was too painful for crusty bread and it seemed more like proper comfort, coz I'm poorly, food.
Still feel carp today and have hardly slept again.
No thoughts of any cooking or eating for one today but I do have options if I start feeling better.'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought

Awww
I'm lucky in that I'm never ill ... I'm glad you at least had food in the house and could reach it.
At 2.30am I opened a tin of satsuma pieces and ate the lot with a spoon straight from the tin.0 -

Thanks.
It must be your diet that means you're never ill. I'm now thinking of following the PN food plan...I'll see what you eat one day then eat the same the next, infinitum

This made me laugh on BBC this morning

Are you a pineapple on a pizza lover or not .....Not for me and I agree with Mr Iceland that seafood is the way ahead
Still it would be one of your 10 a day I guess :rotfl:
Haven't stuck my head in the silver box yet this morning so don't know what is going to be on the menu but I can fully guarantee it wont be 10 veg0 -
I've said it before on this thread, and I shall say it again:

I like to think so. My overly healthy, structured and informed approach to every day healthy living is clearly a winner.
I'd give you the heads up each day of what I'd be eating ..... except I've never got a bl00dy clue.
If you get stuck, with a sore throat, I can recommend a tin of marrowfat peas0 -

I LOVE pineapple on pizza. It's practically compulsory.
I don't put it on my own pizzas when I make one as that'd just need one pineapple ring and so it's not practical as I'd then be forced to eat that pineapple in the next few days, whether I fancied it or not (... er, or 'freeze it' ... which isn't a solution).
Maybe to get to that 10/day I could simply accept that I open a tin, stick some on the pizza.... then eat the rest of the tin as dessert 1-2 hours later and be done with it.0 -

Is that because marrowfat processed peas are good for a sore throat, or because you've just had some?:p
I am rather partial to them either way'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought

Neither: Because they're easy to keep in the cupboard, don't go off - and would slide down easily and generate no washing up.
I've not actually eaten any for months ... usually got a tin in though.0
