Hi all,
I am looking to buy a minimum 2 bedroom house in a nice part of England for less than £200,000. Does anyone have any suggestions for places?
Somewhere to raise a family and where there is a good community feel but also decent road connections would be ideal.
I have looked at:
EDIT:
Work situation: I can work from home or travel to customer site so my work is flexible.
What type of houses I like: Ideally semi-detached or detached. In a nice area with a bit of community feel and some greenery if possible.
Long term view: I'd like to meet a decent woman and raise a family so something which helps with that when looking for a long-term property would be good. Hence why I said minimum 2 bedroom house
If anyone has some good suggestions Ideally based on your personal living experience there that I can look into I would appreciate your suggestions kindly

Good luck! Unfortunately you will only get a beach hut in Brighton for that money0 -
Do you need to find a job? Have you got one, are there commuting limitations are you to work from home?
There are many areas, and to be honest, if there are no working limitations, then the questions arise are;
Where do you prefer, near the sea, somewhere hilly, flat, in the sticks, in a town etc?
It's hard to suggest if there are no limitations.0 -
I grew up in greater Manchester (Bury) and there are plenty of reasonable suburbs where you'll get a decent house for £200k

Northumberland, around the Morpeth area, ticks every box you have (direct trains to London and Edinburgh, and on the A1), green space a plenty, nice town feel, great schools (for comps).

There are tonnes of areas!
I've always been from Bristol and love it here. There are lots of lovely areas near and far form the city centre where you can buy a 2 bed for less than £200K (this was my criteria and i got one for £175k on borders of Staple Hill/Soundwell.
Loads of people will tell you 'ugh that areas is horrible, rough' in some of the bigger cities - but where i have moved to is actually so nice, the house has the same square footage as some of the 3 beds we were looking at because the rooms are larger, and all my neighbors are all lovely.0
