  • Just read through your diary. Good luck with the debt busting. You sound really busy with all the extra hours lately but it definitely all adds up and makes a big difference
  • Thanks for reading chasing sunshine, it helps me feel accountable if I know people are reading and commenting.

Lazy morning this morning, about to do a two hour job for job 2, going to go via the charity shop and drop off some bits I have got rid of. Mostly kids clothes, my kids have so many it's embarrassing. I have purged them all, they all have little capsule wardrobes now, alongside school uniform :rotfl: I need to do some cleaning and change all the beds, but that can wait until I come back in from work. Should have time before the school run.

Meant to get meat out to do a slow cooker casserole but forgot so need to rethink tonight's dinner........Annoying!

Yoga tonight with the Girl, always nice to get out with her. She is having sleep trouble again and yoga seems to help.

Child benefit went in today, so council tax, kids activities and milk bill budgets all sorted in YNAB. Also money put aside for the weird ones party on Fri, six children at a trampoline centre for an hour, but not paying for a party, just entrance for them and a drink, send them home with a price of cake. I despise party bags so it should be cheap!

    Anyway best get on....

  • I'm a huge advocate of yoga, great for the mind and the body so I hope you both enjoy it tonight.

Trampoline parks are a great idea aren't they. Great exercise for the children and lots of fun too. Hope DS has a great time.

  • Just read through your diary. I have every sympathy with the home tech situation! My daughter has just done her GCSE practical today but the ingredients were a significant increase to this week's food budget!
Well done on juggling 2 jobs and family life.

  • Thanks for stopping by honeysuckle. Actually had a meeting at the Girls schools tonight re options she is certainly not keen to take food tech :rotfl:

So my run if nsd is over, I managed 6:eek: amazing what having nothing spare in the budget can do! Today I got cash from a job and so top up shop in asda, and rest set aside for the Wierd ones birthday cake.

Organised lots today, booked chiropractor appointment, way overdue, yoga was painful! Booked the trampoline park for Friday, and finally got round to booking a voucher for an experience for me and oh that I got for his birthday last April, it expires in a month :rotfl: so booked it for mid march, just need to check mum can have the kids for the day :rotfl:

Anyway due to rushing out of work to go to the school meeting them rushing back I ended up buying a sandwich, and filled up with petrol. Tomorrow will be a nsd before the madness of a birthday weekend.

  • So nsd yesterday too. Today 4hrs in job 2, bought cake and all set for party time this evening.

Tax credits went in today, so I entered them all into YNAB on the laptop last night. I need to do it via the laptop as the tax credits lay for next month's bills and the app only shows the current month. I am not very good on the laptop version much prefer the app, and somehow I managed to muck up some entries that have already gone out this month so it looks like I had £500 extra money. But it isn't on my balance, so now my balance and budget don't match  anyway I opened a new catagories called 'adjustment' and shoved it in there, but I can't 'spend' it because I don't have it in the bank balance part? Very odd. I may have to bite the bullet and do a new budget, but that's annoying as it took forever to set up, especially with my awful tech skills :rotfl: ATM I am just ignoring it, will see what happens.

Was hoping to be paid by boss 2 today, but nothing yet, she pays around 10th-13th depending on when she gets paid after invoicing, so looks like it may be after the weekend. Slightly annoying as off to ikea on Sunday, but I have an 'emergency fund' so if it doesn't come through later today I can 'borrow' from there until Monday.

Paid for the party with money mil gave us for his present, (he doesn't really want anything else but he wanted the party) so have £20 for the special socks if kids haven't been before and drinks all round. And have some money for a meal out (probably just McDonald's, but that's what he wants) sometime this weekend.

Anyway off to collect them all, wish me luck :rotfl:

  • Just realised that I made my £300 overpayment to loan 1, and that takes me to below 3k to pay back on that one and below 18k on my total  we owed 22k at the beginning of October, can't believe it! Over 4k off, obviously £550 a month is normal monthly payments and the interest is low on all of them (all below 4%) but should have paid off the first one by July, a year early. :T
