Still no painting speky!!! But I did spend over an hour in the boys room tidying and sorting so felt like something was achieved. Meant to get into the Girls room but ran out of steam.

Met my sister for coffee this morning, childfree, very rare for us, was nice just to sit and chat without keeping an eye out for mayhem.

Oh has applied for a job today which is in his field and he is qualified for. So fingers crossed he at least gets an interview, he has been struggling because the job he did while a generic job, was very specific to a certain product. So although he has the job knowledge the jobs he has been applying for have been for products he doesn't know a lot about. So this one seems perfect, but we shall see.

    Fingers crossed he gets it
  • So today has been a long one. Two hours work in the morning, lunch then a 2-10 shift at my main job. Am feeling pretty drained now.

Four hours work tomorrow, but a night off (booked as holiday) from my main job because we have the Boys parents evening and with his awful transition to secondary school we both want to go along. Mum is coming to sit with the little two as my daughter is out too.

So far I don't have a job lined up for Friday yet (this may change, my boss for my second job likes to spring them on me!) But if it is a clear day then painting WILL commence. In the eve the Boy is off to scout camp, he has a lift and i am picking two of them up on Sunday. I am out at a meet up with everyone from my second job which will be nice, money all budgeted in YNAB.

Tomorrow is my main payday, mortgage goes out and £100 to savings. Expecting around £50 overtime too.

    Anyway bed is calling......

  • Well parents evening went well, since his awful time in December he has totally turned it around and is back to enjoying himself. All his teachers said he is doing well too.

I ended up with 4hrs work on Friday, hard, but a bonus. And then I had a night out with staff from the second job, chatted about what the boss has planned etc. Meal ended up being around £13 as I chose the cheapest thing (but I actually wanted that!) And I had a 20% discount code so came in well under budget.

Today I made the Girl go through her wardrobe and gutted her clothes. Was just so fed up with the amount she had. So I gave her a list of what she could have (IE: 4 t shirts etc) and if she wanted any more than that she had to justify it to me. The we all went to town so I could buy her some more tights for school.

Had my hair appointment this afternoon, got £20 discount as a I introduced a friend last month, but I had budgeted the full amount so bought some products with the extra. Rebooked for 11 weeks time (normally do 9/10 weeks so stretching it out!) And updated a savings goal for it in YNAB.

Need to get petrol tomorrow as collecting the Boy from a scout camp he is at an hour away. He got a lift on Friday so I am picking him and my friends boy up. Annoyed though as I am low on petrol so some switching around of budgets to get some more.

So far no jobs lined up for Monday so am booking in painting the new plaster, I will finally get it started :rotfl:

Lazy morning this morning, followed by a top up shop of around £20 (bloody food tech!) as running low on lunch box essentials.

I also had to fill up the car as I had to collect the Boy from a scout camp. Had to use some money from the car maintenance fund as this was an unplanned expense (but I have known about it since October, so annoyed at myself.)

No work lined up tomorrow morning so far, in my main job at 1.30-7.30, then a relaxation class with the Boy in the evening, money all set aside for that. The Boy has an inset day too, I had hoped he would be swimming with my dad, he can't swim at all, he didn't have lessons when he was younger as his skin was super sensitive, was hoping my dad would teach him but he doesn't want to (for a variety of reasons) so am trying to find a class for him. My daughter has riding lessons twice a month and we have stopped them for four months to try and get the Boy swimming, but I can't find any private lessons locally for him and most beginner classes tend to be young children (he is 11) and I think this will dull his confidence. Oh well will bring the local sports centre again tomorrow, they may be able to sort something out. I don't want him to be fantastic and have brilliant technique, I just want him to not drown!!! I don't have the time or patience to teach him, but I will if I really can't find anywhere else.

Anyway that's it for now I suppose, hoping tomorrow will be a nsd apart from the class.

  • Let us know how the class went and hopefully managed another NSD :)
  • Speky would you believe it still no painting has happened :rotfl:

One of the full timers from my main job phoned in sick so I went in early and did 3hrs overtime.

He is going to be off tomorrow too, so after checking that I had no jobs from my second boss I said I would do 8hours overtime. Unfortunately I forgot the Girl has a dentist appointment at 2.30, so can only do 5hrs overtime.

The class was good, the Boy fell asleep during the relaxation part, hopefully it will help him deal with his anxiety the longer we go.

Due to being called into work last minute I ended up having to buy lunch, but used some nectar points so £2 spend.

  • Glad to hear the class seems to have worked. Hope the lessons learned continue and can help in long term.

I know you've a lot of spinning plates so it's no wonder you've not got round to painting. Some things are just more important, and you'll get to it eventually.
  • Well I am out of money until my next lot of pay next Tuesday, so lots of time to paint this weekend I am sure!

5 hours overtime today, and my second job boss wants me to work with her tomorrow, so an additional 2hrs there.

Need to organise the second boys (the Wierd one!) Birthday party. He has aspergers and doesn't really have friends, but he has fixed idea of how a party should be so I need to give it some thought.
