  • Wow everyone did so great!

I am declaring my grocery challenge spending this month at £185.75 - this makes it £35.75 overspent !

Even if it is a bit over the planned budget (for reasons of buying small things without planning and then seeing it add up) I am very happy about the outcome. This month I got back on track with really planning my meals, using what I have and reducing waste.

    March here I come!

  • I'm declaring today too. £149.98 / £150 so just squeaking in under budget. It's been a real eye-opener to have to actually consider what I'm spending and keep tabs on it and it's really helping with my quest to use up all the excess food in my cupboards.
  • Spent £5.99. Although OH only needed milk and eggs he also picked me up red onions, oranges, mushrooms and houmous.

    £139.97/£140.
    £0.03 left.
I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy :D

  • Well, I finally tallied everything up this morning and we're at €388.29 / €400 for February. We have to buy toilet paper tomorrow so that will probably be another €4, give or take. I'm really happy we came in under budget for this month.

We should be almost done with restocking stuff this week. Purchases planned for the first week of March are eggs, Dettol laundry disinfectant, and my shower gel. My aim for March is going to be €200.00.
  • Still doing grocery and cupboard challenge, and despite an Amazon subscribe and save order that i wasn't in time to cancel, my total so far is 226.32. I am amazed, as it has took me about three years to achieve a spend under £250. The use it up motto is finally rubbing off on me! With no bulk buys due next month as far as i am aware; i am hoping to strive for the same. I am so busy i have very little time to post on here; but would still like to partake next month. Onwards and upwards people ... may the force be with you :p:D

I am well under my target, thanks to creative use of stores in cupboards, fridge and freezer, and things like making bread and sprouting pulses.

    Spent £38.60 of £60.

So, onward and upward - we'll see how March progresses!
