Oh xspender! Feel better soon!
We've had no further food spends since Wednesday and don't anticipate any either. We broke up for half term yesterday and it's snowing today. We're in the south west on the coast and we never get snow. I grew up in the Pennines so I'm enjoying watching the snow fall. Even better knowing we're stocked up and don't need to brave panic buying at the supermarkets.0 -
£26.50 spent in sains yesterday mainly on items I cant get at Aldi such as 2 packs of chicken sausages and 2 of turkey bacon and some GF bread. Some snacks and crème eggs dell in my trolley.
Also spent £50.40 on a protein powder order.
However I wont be eating much over the next couple of days due to mo appetite as I have done a stupid, stupid thing. I was so tired on Thursday after a six hour drive I picked up 2 Pixxa Expre55 YS pizzas for our tea, one GF for me and one not for DH. I remarked to DH that the pizza was lovely, thinking it was because we hadn't had one for a while. After feeling ill all day yesterday, like I had eaten gluten (I am celiac) and even cancelling my PT session I checked the pizza box and realised the reason the pizza was so nice was because it was a normal one and not GF!! Same colour box but missing the massive 'gluten free' written across it! What an idiot!
I still need to pick up a few bits today for next weeks meal plan and as DH wants to pop to a3da to look at a game will go there or Ald1 across the road.
My husband is a ceoliac too and he did this with pies. 2 small ones, one gf,one not and just grabbed one out and failed to check label closely. Ate the whole thing and wouldn't have probably noticed except I wandered past grabbed a wee forkful and commented on how much the pastry had improved . Thankfully he has been diagnosed so long I think he has healed enough to not be affected in the way he would a few years ago and just got terrible tummy ache and wind( before he would have immediately thrown up).
Regarding the GC I'm afraid I've rather lost touch on spends this week week due to OH being off work all week and me not. I hint he might have bought quite a bit that I have no idea about. I know I have to add £19.00 and a further £1.45 for me. I'll add £20 on to that to cover his spends so £40.45 total. Getting a bit close and think we may go over my budget. I think I may be cutting it too fine for us with the cats food too so may make my budget higher next month.
On the plus side I have lots still in the cupboards and fridge and I'm out for dinner tonight. Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)
Grocery challenge November : £291.65/300.00 NSD 10
Grocery challenge December : £0/240.00 NSD0 -
Friday spends: €7.71 on train snacks for OH; €2.15 on toothpaste for OH because the freaking Amazon order hasn't arrived yet!!
Saturday spends: €9.31 so far for YS discount meat, clementines and a toothpaste for me. After dropping OH off at the Eurostar, I'll probably go to M & S to trawl their YS goodies. The M & S YS goodies may still be a bit high for what I'm willing to pay right now as my budget is rapidly reducing. I'll total up everything later this evening and update my sig then.
I'm really ticked off about the bulk of my Amazon order which hasn't come yet even after 2 weeks. Due to its lateness we had to spend €5.50 on emergency toothpaste. I'm going to try calling Amazon.co.uk later today to see if I can track the package. It has been lost in the bowels of the Dutch postal system it seems. I've also been sitting at home getting no exercise for the last week waiting for packages to trickle in one by one. It's absurd.
Aaaannndddd breathe.... Let me be thankful that we even have the basics. I may or may not go to Lidl today as well because I was actually rather successful in eating down the freezer the past two weeks. It's half empty! I'm so happy about that. There are mostly bones, frozen cheese and frozen soups in there now. The only meat left in there are 4 chicken drumsticks, frozen uncooked ham and about 6 shrimp in a bag. I've also made a bit of progress in cupboards as well and have started eating some of the tinned fish in there.
Off to make lunch with a YS pork chop along with some mushrooms and spinach from the fridge. Have a good day all and I'll check back in tonight to read more posts and catch up. I love reading all your entries! :j0 -
Small shop of £39.15 to report.
Meals planned to end of Thursday and then we go on hols next weekend so I'll be declaring on Friday.

Been having trouble getting online this week but to update spent £44.85 in morrisons which includes dog food for the rest of the month plus £5.45 in lidl so going well at the moment still on target.
Spend so far 94,83/2000 -
I've had NSD for grocery shopping throughout the week. Top up shop done in A*da - just over £22.
I'm now at £124.18/£300 for Feb - pleased with that although I'm aware we're only just over 1/3 of the way through this month! So looking at it that way it doesn't look so good! Haha.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00
NST no. NSD 4/150 -
Up to £163.15, but that includes a large MF order and a fish restock at Aldi so I'm not stressed by it.
Great YS Haggis haul at Mr W - Huuuuge. Now in freezer. Just need guests now.
Meal planning for the next week. Hoping not to need anything more than milk. Will make a loaf tonight, also Slow cooker cooked breakfast and Tuna fish cakes for freezing. Tonight is leftover curry though.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Ventured out for the first time sinceWednesday today as I'm feeling a lot better. Friend picked me up to go to the mall and meet other friends for coffee. Must have been out max hour and a half but was exhausted!!
Then I have been planning how best to utilise the bits and bobs I have in, so made a small shopping list and went to Mr T's.
Nearly fell over at the self service checkout when I saw the total was £37!!! Then remembered I had picked up a £5 DVD to watch, plus 2 bottles of wine at £9 so that's down to £23 straight away. Also included 3 bottles of my shower gel as it's back on offer at £1 - I use 0riginal s0urce. So £20 not so bad although there were extras e.g. Stuff to make pizza for tonight including a base and vegan cheese, some mushrooms and a courgette, plus two bags crispy things - total impulse buys and not needed but only £2 so could have been worse. Again, had sausages on the list, for jambalaya - I use Linda m sausages and they are £2 usually, but on offer 3 for £5 - they are frozen and I always use them so that was another extra £3 spent!
Also grabbed a big bag of potatoes not on list for £1.26 plus a cabbage!
Easy to see where it suddenly all adds up isn't it!!
Thankfullyremembered I had a £3 off £30 spend voucher in my purse, so it was £33 something in total- not all grocery but I'll sort my proper update out when I update my spreadsheet on the laptop.
As a little bonus I found a pound in the change tray of the self service - there hadn't been anyone on it when I got there so no one to give it back to, so I put it back in the machine! Felt a bit bad but I'd rather I had the benefit of t than mr t which is what would have happened I suppose?
Pizza in the oven now and I've got a glass of wine poured and I'm about to watch my new DVD, it's called Midnight Special and is a "modern sci-if classic" according to the case!
Hope everyone else has a lovely Saturday night too, I can't wait to have my glass of wine, feel like it's been ages!!

Usual weekly shop planned for A*di t/m.
Hope you all having a great weekend and staying warm and dry

Oh dear - got a takeaway tonight £17.57 blown out of budget. I planned to do lambs hearts in the slow cooker for tea tonight but the pot was in the dishwasher over lunch and I needed to go out and buy a carpet this afternoon so lambs hearts still in fridge and I picked up a takeaway on the way home.
I could have done so much more with the money if I had been better organised.0
