    Quite a few - don't quite know how many so will do a count. I try and average £5 a head. This doesn't include hubby, DD, MIL or nieces or nephew. BUT I challenged myself at the beginning of the year after being on the pigsback thread to try and get christmas for free this year.

    I have over £150.00 in piggy vouchers for Boots which I will use on the 3 for 2 gifts. I've managed to get my nieces presents for free this year using £10 codes and nectar deals during the year.

    I have £30 in nectar points which will buy me all the wine presents I need and I have some pressies left over from last year..............!

    This thread has prompted me to do an inventory check - once I've done that I'm off shopping to Boots.

    EM xx

    Don't buy for too many people, but here's my list:

    * Mum & Dad: £60 - £80
    * Bf: £100 or so
    * Little sis: £30
    * Nephew: £30
    * Younger sister who's 18: £20
    * Friends baby: £10 - £15 (don't buy for her anymore as don't see her too often, so just buy for the baby instead)
    * Friend: £20

    Think that's about it.

    The friends presents never cost that much, but are always "to the value of.." that amount

    Just noticed, my own dear family seem to be neglected compared to OH's cousins, aunties and sisters!!! We only buy for the main family really and a few friends...

    Oh and of course my darling OH who will set me back a fortune this year again!!

    Immediate (ish) family only but thats still:

    OH - 50-100 + 20 for stocking
    DD1 - 80-100 + 20 for stocking
    DD2 - 80 - 100 + 20 stocking
    MIL & FIL 20-30
    Mum & st/dad 20-30
    Dad & st/mum 20-30
    1st Bro & SIL 15-20
    3 x their kids 20 total
    2ND Bro & SIL 15-20
    3 x their kids 20 total
    BIL & SIL 15-20
    4 x their kids 20 total
    step bro & SIL 5-10
    2 x their kids 10 total
    step sis & BIL 5-10 total
    1 x their kid 5
    gran 5
    OH gran 5

    So thats 30 for immediate relatives :eek: and 3 for OH/DD1/DD2

    If we have our usual family gathering I then have to factor in my aunt & uncle, her 2 kids plus their hubbies and their 3 kids (9 extra)

    Then there are close friends x 2 familes each with 2 kids. Think I'm going to give them a miss this year as its all getting too much and the budget I have does not allow for much in the way of a good pressie.

    I don't do craft, or cooking and I'm not imaginative so bargains it has to be!

    Needless to say I start shopping for Christmans in the January sales! Only way I can do it. Think I'm almost 1/2 way now so not bad.

    Need to go shopping again me thinks before I go back to work!

  • I have been saving away this year, in hope I wont have to spend too much out of my own pocket to fund xmas. I have been saving up vouchers from online survey sites that I have earnt, boots advantage points, nectar points etc to use for buying gifts. I have a pot of £100 of my own money, which can be dipped into if I really need to, but am trying just to use gift voucher and reward points to fud this xmas.

    I spend the following:

    OH £100
    Kids x 2 £100 each
    Mum £100
    Grandad £50
    Mother in law and partner £20 each
    Sister in law £20
    Best friends x 4 £20 each
    Friends children x 4 £10 each
    Family friends x 4 £10 each
    Work collegues - usually a box of chocs to share round office £4
    Daycare centre my children go - usually a box of choc for nursery workers £4

    Think thats every1, so total of £678.

    At mo I have the following saved to spend:

    £80 argos vouchers
    £60 woolworths vouchers
    £124 Amazon evouchers
    £10 M&S voucher
    £20 arcadia vouchers
    £10 Boots voucher
    £60 leisure vouchers
    £30 tesco gift cards
    £16 luncheon vouchers
    £15 Halford vouchers
    £89 boots advantage card
    just over 3000 points on my nectar card equivilant to £15 in argos

    total = £486

    So at mo just under £200 short, will have to dip into my £100 pot and try and scrape together some more vouchers or sumthing from sumwhere, determined not to spend anymore of my own money :rotfl:
