Removing cortana in Win 10

I have found a way to remove the hated cortana in Windows 10 ........

I can confirm that it does work - just make sure that you are using a 3rd party menu (such as Classic shell - or you will lose "SEARCH")

Now to get rid of EDGE.

    Tried it, now when I press the start button and type N for notepad, Search no longer works :( I never installed any other shells, all is standard.

    I have used it - at work and hate it !
    It is partly the fact that MS assume that we want to use it !!

    Just un-pin it from your task bar, and pin IE (other browsers are available) there instead.
    Set your default browser to the one you just pinned and you will soon forget Edge even exists
