Just to clarify (for anyone who's not sure how percentages work) the 'yes' votes aren't picking up (and never were).

That should be 49 votes for yes and 102 for no as I ticked the wrong box thinking that I was answering the question in the thread title.

So you actually answered 'yes, I trust my other half' rather than 'yes, I check my OH's phone'.

Seems to indicate a very poorly thought out poll.

I'm sure the OP will take the opportunity to claim that - similar to your case - all the posters who voted 'no' actually meant 'yes' and the poll really shows that 100% of people do as the OP does and check their partner's phones and handbag behind their backs.

More interestingly I once appeared in the online, video version of the "Dear Deidre" column in the Sun. I played the "concerned friend", so I was fully clothed (though in bandage-like dress) and I was recompensed with a glass of Zinfadel and lunch in the pub where we filmed. I'm sure my 6 year old will be dead proud of her mummy when she is old enough to watch the DVD :T
