They will therefore remove this charge or I will see them in court.
I look forward to the fight if necessary.
Would you buy a car from a garage, get offered a trade in value on your own car, to be taken off the value of the new car, for the garage to say, actually we think we gave you too much trade in, so we want to add it to what you owe us ?
For the transactions done through the catalogue here, I have printed off my order confirmation, which clearly shows the discounts being accepted and the final amount being usually £1.00 or £0.80.
To me they have made the offer to sell, you have accepted the offer, accepted the items at the price quoted and so the contract is completed.
I have not given them permission to try to take any more money from my card, and I will expect on my next card statement to see the discounts credited back.
( just my opinion)

Did all the poeple who have had vouchers cancelled use them to get an item of £30 or less?? I spent over £100 so would be really upset if that got disallowed due to others abusing the promo codes. :mad:0

does it really matter what people spent? no minimum spend was quoted so you can use the voucher for the exact amount its for. the fact that what they are doing, charging people after the contract has been completed is the problem.

Anyone had a £10 reclaimed?
Hi Peaches.I placed an order in hubbys name, with a new and different email address to an account i had up to last year in the Janet Frazer name(all same company now). I also run a Kays catalogue and have done for many years.they too are part of the Littlewoods group,or whatever they are called now..
Goods delivered this morning, got £10 off a £25 order and paid by credit card as i did not want an account set up with all the hassle it brings.I got very fed up with Janet Frazer and constant problems and anyway what is the point of 2 catalogues the same?
Hopefully no comeback as paid on card as a one off.But why are all these codes showing on the discount sites if you can't then use them with confidence?0 -
Thanks for the heads up - just noticed a £25 "voucher cancelled" in my account - have sent off a swift email to nip this nonsense in the bud!0

phanco, do you think that if you email, it might flag up any other vouchers that they may wish to cancel0

Hi, just done 2 phone calls today and spoken to the most obnoxious team leader at Littlewoods about getting a statement today for £25. They asked where the code was from and said the codes were only for credit accounts. As I nicely pointed out at the end ofthe day they have accepted the code and my payment, they cannot just turn around two months down teh line and say hey we want £25 back from you!!
I was going to give them the item back but as OH said they have accepted the payment and the voucher .... FIGHT THEM0 -
I agree in principle that what they are doing is wrong and I've had my voucher cancelled. I do also openly admit that I shouldn't have used the voucher as it wasn't meant for me.
However, if you realised you'd been overcharged for something, even 2 months down the line would you try and get your money back? I would.0 -
What annoys me is that they know that they have made a major error on their website... the codes shouldn't have been accepted. Now they are trying to claw things back ..............0

Thanks for the warning - did use two codes last week that were not sent to me, but luckily were only for a £12 game and a £6 cardy so will be gutted if they are not accepted, but not the end of the world.
However, I hope Empire Stores are not the same as thats a different story!!0
