Hi All,
Happy Friday!! Hope the title makes sense for what i'm about to ask. One of my close male friends has just bought a flat and i'm going to see it next week. For money reasons and for the fact i don't have a clue what he needs or want without asking him, i wanted to get him something as a gift so i thought it be cool to get him like an emergency spare kit for the house. Just random bits really that would be useful for him if he ever forgot to buy and ran out. (he can be quite forgetful
) What would you have in yours?
So far i've thought of:
Toilet roll - for when on last few sheets and didnt buy any more of
UHT milk - for first thing in the morning when all the milk is gone
Pack of pens - for every time you are on the phone and need to make a note of a ref but can't find a single pen
Fluffy socks - for when his housemate puts up a fight about putting the heating on.
His Fave Choc Bar - for when he really needs it and has none in.
Anything else you think is useful but neccessary? can be funny
thanks in advance. x

A good tape measure - there's always something to measure in a new home. I love tape measures, I probably use mine randomly a few times a week!!0

A couple of bulbs. One bayonet, one screw-in.I don't like morning people. Or mornings. Or people.0

Agree with batteries, sellotape and a tape measure as above, but also a torch (with batteries, or wind up), selection of blank greetings cards, superglue, spare bulbs and a packet of fuses are all things from our 'stuff' cupboard that have come in useful when we've needed them at that very moment.
Not very fun, but definitely functional.0 -

What would you have in yours?
So, so much!!
I have a back up of pretty much all tins/jars which are in my kitchen cupboard in my 'spare' cupboard. That way, when something runs out I put the spare in the kitchen, it goes on my list and everything gets replaced before it runs out.
Sauces/condiments - ketchup, HP, mustard, whatever his preference is

A really basic tool kit - this one's a bargain at £6·50

Is this a 'thing'? To be honest if he's capable of buying a property he should be capable of buying the essentials0
