Have made a butternut squash, coconut & lentil curry today, mostly for DS as it will be easy to freeze/defrost when needed.

Not much else done today, really need to do a bit of cleaning and tidying but just can't be bothered. Went out to the garden earlier & covered the leaves poking through in the potato bags but the weather is still damp & dull. :( Found a slug, so more pellets scattered.

DS getting a bit grouchy, must be hungry so best go and get him fed. He keeps falling over from sitting & hitting his head on the floor and looking at me accusingly. :rotfl: Don't know how many times I've sung "If you're happy & you know it" today to try & stop him crying.

Hey sashybo, just popping in to say hi.
Paying off over £50k of debt is incredible! Massive well done!

My car also needs tyres, all 4 unfortunately which is likely to be about £500! Also need to get new brake pads which is about £100. Bloop

I've sang baa baa black sheep more times than I care to think about today, row row row your boat is also a favourite and he goes bonkers when you get to rock your boat and almost bursts your eardrums for the crocodile bit!

Hi Brookside, thanks for popping in. :hello:

Unfortunately the 50k is because we never seem to learn. :o Hoping that this time we'll actually pay the debt off & not end up back where we started. :o I'll take the well done though. :rotfl:

Cars can be such a money pit, I feel your pain. Still not checked my tyre.

:rotfl: at your DS, mine loves "If you're happy & you know it" because he can do the clapping bit, his timing still isn't great as he's so young but he just loves it. He loves any music & usually dances in his highchair to random things like radio jingles. :rotfl:

Hi sashybo I thought I'd leave a little comment as I'm always reading your diary but never comment on it much. You are doing so well, probably shouldn't ask the depressing question but when are you back to work? Hope you're having a lovely weekend.

Hi Rachel, thanks for saying hello. :) I've got another 2 keeping in touch days to do, so another 2 weeks of one day a week.

I should be starting back on my job share at the end of this month, which will be 2 days one week & 3 days the next. I still haven't even had any acknowledgement of my request from HR. I spoke to the big boss in the department & she said she was chasing HR but that was 2 weeks ago and still nothing. I'm going to email her & my other manager tomorrow as that will 2 weeks exactly until I'm going back properly. They have told me it won't be a problem but for HR to not even acknowledge it is a bit worrying, they're so uncommunicative.

Hi W, thanks, hoping to get out into the garden after DS's nap. We want to get the tomato plants into grow bags in the greenhouse (as long as no more frost is forecast). I'm re-potting 2 of the tomato plants, 1 to go to my mum & the other to my friend.

Mine used to refuse an afternoon sleep unless I sang to him. I'm the first one to admit I can't sing but bless him, he clearly didn't care. I was pregnant again (16 months between my two) and struggled to stay awake myself but I'd plough through 'ten men went to mow' so he could shout 'woof!' for the dog and eventually would run out of songs for the sleep resistant one and we would end up with 99 bottles of beer on the wall which was less exciting so he usually went to sleep somewhere in the mid thirties.

That's a bit rubbish by HR. Maybe try contacting the HR help desk/admin leader to politely ask when you can expect it? Depressing as it is, those things usually got bumped up the queue.

Your tomatoes are doing much better than mine, only one has germinated so far despite being planted three weeks ago and I have visions of having to buy some. Might sow some emergency extras today actually if I have any different seeds.

:rotfl: redo, kids are funny creatures, they just love to hear your voice. :) That's a lot of bottles on the wall though.:rotfl:

DS just loves any songs but gets really excited when he recognises one like If you're happy...don't know how many times a day I sing that song. :rotfl: He also thinks people sneezing is hilarious at the moment though. :rotfl:

Yeah HR are pretty bad at replying to anything & are usually really rude to boot. I hate dealing with them! :o

The tomatoes are taking over my bathroom but I'm scared to put them in the greenhouse in case the frost kills them. :o

Legally I think they have 28 days to respond to your request so hopefully you'll hear back soon. I work 3 days a week, it's great as you feel like you're hardly ever at work :rotfl:.
