Ouch on the finger, cat bites are horrid. Our vet said they often get infected sadly.

Sorry your finger is infected. Who would have thought a cat could do so much damage.

Thanks redo & chanie, my finger is feeling a bit better already but it might just be psychological. I felt one of her front teeth go right in so thought it would be bad, blinking crazy cat. It was so painful afterwards & bled for ages. :(

After getting DS to bed tonight I got the oven cleaner in the oven, (will leave it overnight) & did the last of the dishes that need to be hand washed then wiped down the worktops & hob, cleaned out the litter trays & swept the kitchen floor. I also finally did the ironing. :j:j

Feeling tired now, so think I'll be watching an episode of How to get away with murder (love that programme) then off to bed I think.

Finished cleaning the oven this morning but need to work out how to remove the glass in the middle bit of the oven door - it's all streaky & dirty and ruining my nice clean oven!

Got the nematodes done this morning & looked like a crazy person watering the garden in the rain. :o:rotfl:

Need to hoover the house & try to clean the kitchen floor after lunch but just depends what mood DS is in.

Got the hoovering done yesterday afternoon along with my usual cleaning up after the cats/DS. Stuck a washing of towels on overnight so put them in the TD first thing & also remembered to put ingredients in the breadmaker so had a loaf ready this morning.

Have put more of DS's stuff in the washing & have got baked potatoes in the oven for my dinner at work and my mum & DS's dinner later. Taking some leftover chicken casserole to use in my baked potato.

DS tried baby muesli this morning for the first time & seemed to enjoy it. :j So glad he is coping well with different textures & is willing to try things, so far anyway. :)

Did a couple of surveys yesterday but probably not as many as I should have. Finger seems to healing up, managed to have a shower without knocking it, although my bandage had to come off, it was very dirty anyway. My mum will put another dressing on it later if it needs it but I'm not sure it does.

Work was fine the other day although I felt very tired afterwards.

Yesterday DH & I went to B&Q for compost & grow bags, also got some patio & driveway cleaning fluid. It didn't cost us anything as we had vouchers from my surveys. :j

Also took DS to our niece's 3rd birthday party & he cried for nearly an hour as it was too busy and too many people. :( He was properly sobbing & wouldn't stop, poor wee soul. You would think we never took him out of the house. :o Hoping it's just a phase & he will get over it, usually he's very nosy & likes to watch people but he just freaks out at parties etc. :( He did enjoy himself when it got a bit less busy & he had calmed down, we also bribed him with sausage rolls. :rotfl:

Looking at things to get DS for his birthday & thinking of getting a wee slide & maybe a baby doll. He was fascinated by our niece's baby dolls yesterday & played with them for ages. Don't want to get him too much as he already has lots of toys & he won't know what's going on anyway.

Was feeling really fed up with everything yesterday & flounced off in a huff back to bed for an hour then had a nice shower, leaving DS with DH. DH made the mistake of telling me to go to bed earlier when I said I'm always feeling tired these days. :o

Have decided to get a slide & play tunnel for DS's birthday and a small wooden kitchen that can be pushed along as a walker. I can get vouchers from surveys to pay for around half (and have already ordered £20 worth). :T My mum is going to buy a baby doll for DS & will probably ask for clothes if my brother or sister ask what to get him. Happy with this, he doesn't need much & won't know what's going on anyway. We might have a small party at home but depends on shifts etc & we won't know about those for a while.

Small crazy cat is not well, she threw up some bits of silicone/plastic she had obviously eaten & is hardly eating her food now. :( I have some cat malt paste & she takes that as it's easy to swallow & is still drinking water, so think she might have a sore throat. Hope nothing is stuck. :( If she still isn't eating properly by tomorrow I'm going to have to take her to the vets which will no doubt end up costing a lot of money.

Off to work later for another KIT day, should be able to claim double time as it's a bank holiday too. :j

Small cat was still not right this morning so took her to the vets & they kept her in to do bloods & an x-ray and scan. So that's easily £100 already.

Vet couldn't tell if anything was stuck by looking at the scan & x-rays so is having to open her up & that will cost £700 apparently.:( But wait for the best bit - DH somehow forgot to insure small cat last year (& I didn't notice).:eek::eek: So it will all have to go on the CC. I have a 0% balance transfer offer I can use but not really ideal to have to take on at least £800 more debt. We have £140 in the cat account, better than nothing but not much help when we're looking at an £800+ bill. :(

Poor small cat though, she really isn't well and the vet is quite worried about her, so that's not good either. :( Hope she survives the surgery. :(

Just feeling fed up, it's always one step forward, two steps back for us. :( Our blinking cats have cost us more than DS!!

Thanks redo, she survived the surgery but is still really ill and being kept overnight at the vets on a drip. :( They had to remove 6 inches of her small intestine. They did give us the option of PTS but as they had already opened her up I felt that we should give her a chance.

They're going to phone me in the morning, I hope it's good news, the vet did stress that it is very touch and go so she might not make it.

We both feel guilty that she managed to eat the silicone & that it damaged her so badly. Poor wee thing must have been suffering for the last few days. :( We thought she just had a scraped throat from bringing up the big bits of silicone.
