Thanks Beanie, the nativity was lovely, pretty funny as well. DS was a shepherd but think all the kids had a shot of the costumes. They particularly liked the donkey, sheep & camel costumes. 😂

Got my hair cut yesterday and the girl styled it wavy/slight curls for me as it was my work Christmas night out. As ever there were a lot of people who cancelled and/or didn't show up. 🙄 There were 7 of us in all although I was the only female. It was good though and the food was nice. DH came to pick me up as my mum kept the kids overnight and taxis are awful just now.

I have a bit of a sore head today but not too bad as I didn't mix my drinks at all. Just feeling tired now to be honest.

DH has taken DS for a hair cut and is picking DD up from my mum afterwards, not planning on doing much today. Poor DD has a dodgy stomach again and horrible nappies but is otherwise fine.

Nursery have lost DD's hat and snood scarf which is not ideal when it's freezing outside. 😖 I'm going to have to buy cheap hats in case they lose them again! I don't understand what happens to her stuff because I always label it!! So annoying not to get it back again.

The glittery rainbow boots I bought for DD a couple of weeks ago have already cracked on the coating. 😠 I have got a refund for them as it's not good enough, will have to try and get another pair now. At least she can wear the cracked coating ones for now.

I have sold a few more things on v!nted, most of the money will go towards Christmas rather than debt for now.

  • DD came home with two hats the other day. One was clearly not hers and I made her return it. When she’s had things go missing, I’ve not always been that lucky. X

Yes Beanie, so many things seem to break within weeks or months, it’s rubbish.

Willow it’s so irritating when things go missing at nursery/school & must have went home with the wrong child. I don’t understand why so many people seem to just keep the item that isn’t theirs instead of returning it!

I had a productive day yesterday as I got one washing away, one hung up, kids bedding changed & hoovered upstairs before going to DD’s nursery nativity in the afternoon. It was freezing all day, mainly around -7 with a freezing fog as well.

DD really not very well, she came home with a high temperature absolutely exhausted and not interested in eating. She slept well last night but temp still high so has been off nursery today and still not back to normal so will probably be off again tomorrow.

She’s been very demanding, shouting at me to sit with her so not much done today apart from one washing away, one hung up and another done then into the TD.

DH has had a very spendy couple of months so the CC we pay off every month is very high. 😩 We just got paid on Friday and are already £500 in the overdraft.

Have had a talk with DH again and told him to stop the spending. He admitted he’s been comfort spending again because he’s feeling depressed.

So we’re stuck back in the usual cycle, next month’s CC bill is going to be huge, as will the overdraft & we’ll have no money.

It’s DH’s 40th in February but we won’t have the money to do anything! Plus when I asked him what he wanted to do he said he wanted someone else to do the thinking for him! I told I already do all the thinking for him so don’t want to do that too. FML!

  • Oh Sashy sending big hugs. I hope DD feels better soon.
With DH's extra spends, is there anything that can be returned or could he try selling a few bits again to cover the shortfall?
I think the birthday celebrations can justifiably be put on hold until spending is under control, might help keep him on track?
    Take care of you x

Thanks Dancing & Beanie. I did think he was overspending but not as much as he has. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Nothing that can really be returned unfortunately but he may have more things to sell on. Just sick of going round in circles, nothing ever changes.

Hoping to get my Christmas cakes marzipanned this week but need DD back at nursery first. She ate some dinner which is an improvement on yesterday so hopefully she’ll be back on Friday.

Have done all the present wrapping apart from DH’s, not that he deserves anything!

Still need to get the outlaws stuff sent down to them & haven’t written any Christmas cards yet either.

I would not bother with Christmas cards now.
