Thanks Honeysuckle, I will try sunflowers with DS. I got out into the garden today and discovered that my rhubarb crown actually is alive and is just hiding. 😀 Fingers crossed it grows some leaves soon.

I moved some heucheras into bigger pots while I think about where to put them in the garden and planted my poor winter flowering jasmine behind the hiding rhubarb crown so that it can (hopefully) grow up the fence. I also moved some dianthus pink kisses into a big pot and tidied my raspberry canes. My honeysuckle is coming back after DH chopped it back brutally in the autumn and my newer honeysuckle is also looking good but my clematis seems to have died. 🤨

I finally sowed my sweet peas and also added some petunias, linaria, calendula and verbena. I also sowed some wasabi rocket and Delikate cucumbers. I'm going to order some mini munch cucumber seeds and some sungold tomato seeds as they were good growers and tasted lovely last time I grew them. I still have plenty of courgette and runner bean seeds.

I had a nice peaceful time in the garden as DS played about for half an hour and then went in and DD was napping. DH was at home so that meant I could stay out on my own. Lovely.

Managed to get two loads of washing done today on top of the nappy prewashes and some general tidying i.e. picking up after the whirlwind that is DD!! Even DS is giving DD a row and picking things up after her. 😂

Hoping to get up early tomorrow to do some pilates or yoga, my back is quite sore again and I've been going to the chiropractor weekly again. Hopefully this week will be the last weekly visit and I can move on to monthly. I'm glad I upped my contribution to the work health plan as it means I get more money in that category that I can claim back.

Have had a fairly lazy day today, not got much done at all to be honest. It was very foggy this morning but was a nice sunny afternoon.

Back at work on Wednesday so will have to get a few things done around the house tomorrow. Need to hoover, do the big cat litter clean/change, do a washing and also the nappy wash. If it's nice weather again I might even be able to hang the clothes and nappies out on the line.

DH hung a washing out last week and it smelled amazing, it was still damp when he brought it back in, although he said it wasn't and folded it. I checked because I didn't believe him and it was damp so I hung most of it up on the clothes horse. Also when DH brings the washing in and folds it, he just leaves things inside out and it drives me mad. 😂 Argh if you're going to go to the bother of folding it at least turn it the right way round!

I ordered some moisturisers online today as we are running low - face ones for me (day & night cream) and DH and body moisturiser for DH & the kids, I try to buy them fragrance free stuff as they all have quite sensitive skin. They were all half price or BOGOF which was quite pleasing. I also ordered some glycolic acid tonic & a tooth whitening kit (toothpaste & whitening accelerator paste) which were also BOGOF, thought the whitener was worth a try as we can't get to the dentist for a scale & polish. Also bought DD's vitamin drops, so we are all stocked up for a few months now.

Used £10 of survey vouchers towards filters for the cat water fountain so a 6 month supply only cost me £2.99 "real" money. 😀

The memory blankets using the kids baby clothes that I ordered as part of their Christmas are ready. 🥳 I wasn't expecting them until next month, the lady that made them sent photos and they look amazing. 😁 I have put down a deposit for a cushion each for them as well, once I have decided on the items of clothing to be used I will send them and pay the balance. There's no time limit on this which is good as it means I can sort it out when I have the money.

Work wasn't too bad but I'm feeling quite demotivated when I'm there, as there isn't really much for me to do. 😔 My job has been quite boring since the department restructured and got rid of my old job when I was on my first maternity leave. I worked very hard in that role and the department manager basically didn't understand what we did, so decided to get rid of it by moving it to another office and changing it to a support role for managers who get paid £10K more but you're basically doing the same job as them. Let me think why I didn't want to make the move. 🤷‍♀️ 🤔 Not that I'm bitter or anything. 😂

I need to remember the positives, which are that I'm well paid for a job share role and I'm very rarely stressed out at work anymore. It's still boring though. 😐

Paid £60 off my tax bill when we got paid yesterday, only £127 to go. 😠 We are going to end up back in the O/D within a week due to bills and being paid 4 weekly. It's very annoying. We do get paid twice next month - once at the start of the month and once at the end, so hoping that will sort out the O/D situation. We'll see.

Have been off the last 2 days so have done a bit of housework, mostly washing and hoovering. I need to make more soup as it's handy for lunches especially on the days I'm at work.

DD is starting to walk much better and for longer distances, although she is still lurching about like a drunk half the time. 😂 She is picking up words really quickly and now says night night and bye bye and does a little wave too. 😊 DS enjoyed being back at nursery for his normal hours but was exhausted at the end of the week.

Not much to report, have been doing the usual, minimal housework (including several washings every day - where do all the clothes come from) and sorting the kids out.

Need to hoover, do the big cat litter clean out and strip the bed sheets today. Nappy prewash will go on plus a wash of DS's stuff, will also strip his bed. I'm going to pick my mum up later so that she can collect DS from nursery and then have dinner with us. No idea what we're having for dinner mind you. 🤷‍♀️

I managed to sort out more old clothes (mine, kids & DH added some of his) and have left it out in a charity bag so that's more stuff out of the house that's not being used. I have managed to give a few things of DS's to nursery as well for their spares of trousers, socks & pants so that's a good option as at least I know they will be used and appreciated.

I have a few seedlings starting to appear - so far I have one red sunflower, some sweet peas, linaria and petunia seedlings. I have my mini munch cucumber seeds now so need to get them sown. The tomato seeds I ordered were the super sweet variety not sun gold like I said earlier, so will need to get them sown as well. My seed potatoes have been dispatched so should arrive this week, will get them going upstairs and then need to send DH to buy lots of compost so we can start filling the potato bags.

I think DS will be a bit more interested this year, he was interested when I showed him the seedlings anyway.

Managed to do some Pilates the other night but not sure I did it properly as I have no aching muscles and pretty sure I should do. 😂

Back to work at the end of the week and need to do some shopping on my way home - we haven't ordered an online food shop this week as we had plenty of food in the house but we will need some fruit etc by the end of the week. The plan for next week is to stock up on things we like from Mr A - juice, washing powder etc and get it delivered but we have been using Mr S online shopping and their stock seems much more reliable so we will try and order from them every 2 weeks or so. I've been going back to Mr Al's and Mr L's more as the prices for certain things are so much cheaper and just as good quality.

I also need to get some bedding plants for my mum after work as that's what she's asked for for mother's day. I'll get her something nice as well, not sure what yet though!

I ordered a load of seeds yesterday, will keep Mr SA occupied in the greenhouse. We had some red sunflowers last year, they were really nice. That’s the trouble with exercising at home, you never know if you’re doing it right. At least in a class the instructor comes to adjust you. I was always being adjusted in yoga 😆
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Hi SA, hope your seeds are keeping Mr SA busy!

I need to get my seedlings potted on and sow the cucumber and tomato seeds. I think I'll also sow more of the red sunflowers as still only one seedling has appeared. I will get some calendula sown too.

Yeah I'm really not sure with Pilates, I suppose it's something I need to practice with. I find yoga a lot easier in that I'm pretty sure I can feel the correct breathing/muscles but am struggling with the pilates because it's different.

It's a lovely day today, sunny and mild, I was too hot in my big duvet coat taking DS to nursery and actually had a think about what lighter coats I could wear. Fingers crossed it stays this mild as it was nice a few weeks ago then went really cold again.

I had a nice Mother's Day, DH got me a card from the kids (and the cats!), some fancy handmade soap from dook and some fancy pjs. Unfortunately the pyjamas were far too big, the size DH had ordered was the size I probably would have picked for myself though so I don't feel offended. 😂 The size I need is now sold out in that print (grr) but thankfully John Lewis sell them and have the right size in stock so DH has ordered from there and we returned the too big pair today, had to pay return postage so I'm hoping that gets refunded. 🤔

I managed to have a nice bubble bath and DH made dinner as well. Poor DS was really confused and kept trying to sing happy birthday as he thought it was my birthday due to the presents, card and even a cake for dessert. 😂

DS was very kind to DD recently, she hurt her fingers after trapping them in a folding stool and was crying and crying, I couldn't get her to calm down. DS came over and gave her a big cuddle and she stopped crying! He then went and got her a soft toy that she likes to cuddle, it was really sweet. DD just adores him and most of the time he shoves her out of his way but he was really good with her when she was so upset. 💕

On the survey front I have cashed £20 out of prolific - half has gone to one of the 0% CCs and the other has paid for a dress I ordered in a sale a couple of weeks ago. I have also cashed out £25 from OP, when that arrives I'll pay £5 into my Christmas savings and then £20 off the highest interest loan.
