Thanks for popping by all, have been MIA as was working earlies and then recovering from it. 😴 I actually got up and did 40 mins of yoga yesterday morning, I'm feeling it now though as a bit achey today.
Kept DS off nursery yesterday and took both kids to see my mum which they enjoyed. Was going to take DS to nursery today but it was snowing and I didn't know if I'd get down the hill and back up again so decided to keep him off.
DS, DH & I had a snowball fight in the garden which was fun but DH was throwing the snowballs really hard, it was actually sore. 😱 DD was out for 2 mins but had a screaming fit so I took her in and put her down for her nap. She's teething just now as well so is extra grumpy.
DS is acting like a demon right now as I made the mistake of letting him watch too much tv. 🤦♀️ He is screaming at ear splitting volume because I wouldn't put on exactly what he wanted, then told him if he kept it up the tv was going off. So now the tv is obviously off as he never does what he's told and he's still screaming. Apparently he wants his daddy (he's at work & lets him watch much less tv than me!). I've definitely noticed that he turns into a demon if I let him sit watching the tv too long.
We're also on DS's 5th pair of trousers today as he keeps sitting on the potty and peeing over his pants and trousers instead of into the potty. 🤦♀️ So a lovely pile of washing for later.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. So far today I've done the nappy wash, put another wash on, hoovered downstairs and did the big clean of the cat litter trays.
I have also sent back 2 of the 3 new bras I ordered as I didn't really like them. The 1 I kept is lovely but I wore it for the full day a few days ago and it was sooo tight and sore, I couldn't wait to get it off. 😭 Hoping it will loosen off a bit, to be fair I'm not used to wearing underwired bras anymore so it might be that as well. I can't send it back now as I've taken the tags off and worn it, typical.
Still waiting on a refund for the dresses I sent back last week, the company seem to be very slow. I checked my postal reference no and they received the returns on Monday and still no refund. 🤨
DS is at nursery today as the snow has cleared enough that the roads are ok. 👍 He was so happy to go back. DD is napping so I'm having a wee break whilst there is peace!
DS was telling me this morning how cute Old Cat is. 😆 He was watching the cat sleeping in his basket and saying "Aww mummy, he's so cute!". And for once he didn't annoy the cat or chase him.
Cashed out from vypr a few days ago so have paid £5 off one of the 0% CC's. I have received odds and ends of money as well, so sent them to the VSP for next Christmas.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Remind me what VSP is? I was so cross this week as did a long survey on Crowdology and it had an error ...after 20 minutes!1

@janb5 VSP is Virtual Sealed Pot. There is a challenge on the forums for it. You round down balances in your bank account as savings, or any other odds and ends. I do it as a way to save for Christmas and usually end up with around £600 so worth doing.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

£600 is definitely worth doing it for. I do always dip into my money though xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x1 -
Hi all, yes the VSP challenge seems worth trying - I'm determined not to touch it as it would be nice to actually have the money sitting there for Christmas. I sometimes get odd amounts for surveys like 20p or small cashback amounts like £3 odd and I would usually just leave it sitting in my payp@l account so now I'm moving it into the savings account.
Janb5 how annoying about the survey error, I can't remember if crowdology is a site I tried and didn't get on with or one I've not used. I think the name is familiar but there are so many survey companies now.
DS had a good day at nursery and no toilet accidents either. 🎉 One of the teachers said he actually took himself off to the toilet and only needed a bit of help with his trousers so he's getting there. I just need to convince him to use his toilet seat rather than the potty at home. 🤔 It has a step up and handles to hold on but he's still preferring the potty atm.
Just chilling out on the couch with the cats as DH is working and the kids went to bed quite nicely. 😀 I need to work on going to bed earlier so that I get up earlier in the morning as I want to do more yoga and can only do it when the kids are in bed otherwise they try to climb all over me. 😱 Which as I'm sure you'll realise is very UN-relaxing. 😂
One of our wooden kitchen benches broke yesterday- we have two at the table instead of chairs. It has been wonky for a while but just totally cracked so DH took it apart as it wasn't safe. We got two folding chairs out of our big kitchen cupboard to replace it for now and they're actually pretty comfy. DS loves sitting on them as well so I might just buy a couple more when we need to replace the other bench.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Oh @sashybo I love you updates, your family life sounds as crazy as mine with 2 little ones!
Enjoy the opportunity to chill while it lasts, very well deserved x1 -
Thanks Dancing, it's a madhouse here sometimes that's for sure!
My cats are basically preventing me from leaving the couch as they are stretched over my legs - everyone knows that you need to let sleeping, er, cats, lie. 😆
