Not me, but im fed up of us buying cheapish washers for them to only last 12 - 18 months. This one I'm hoping will last longer.
Yes, that's exactly what we thought when we bought the Bosch just over three years ago. It did not even outlast its predecessor, the "ALL BRITISH" Hotpoint. At least that lasted for just over 5 years.
My best friend had a Miele for almost 15 years although it has had to have two (expensive) repairs in that time. She has just replaced hers, with another Miele.
Personally I would rather just bought another Samsung with a 5 year full guarantee as I could get three of these for the price of one Miele. Spammy likes to keep her pennies...I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -
Frankly, the washing machine industry is a joke as manufacturers are deliberately making products with short life spans and in most cases, uneconomic repair possibilities as almost all of them have sealed drum units. That means if anything gets stuck in the drum it basically means a new machine,.I have a 10-year-old Bosch with a drum which is not sealed so I am hanging onto that for as long as possible. When that finally goes my only realistic choice will be a Miele as it appears to be the only manufacturer that doesn't use such drums. Expensive repairs for sure but undoubted longevity.
The EU should step in ban these sealed drums IMOArgentine by birth,English by nature0 -

But seriously, we have no issues with our Samsung at all. Washes perfectly on all settings and has not damaged any clothing. Agree that you should get it checked...Argentine by birth,English by nature0 -
Yeah, there wasnt much in the price between my Samsung and the Miele that was in the sale. What swung it for me was the energy efficiency rating. The Miele wasnt nowhere near as energy efficient. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
We've just replaced our old Indesit that was making an horrendous noise when spinning with a Samsung.
Which magazine has Samsung as their top brand. We didn't buy their top model but spent about £370 on one with an 8Kg load and a 1400 spin.
So far we're very pleased with it. The silence when it spins is deafening."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
Having read the above I'm dreading the day when my 20+ year old Servis packs up. Have had to replace the pump, but that was many years ago and job was done by a relative who had replaced a pump on his own machine. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Our first Creda machine broke down a week before my first son was born, 38 years ago, so my husband grabbed a replacement quickly (trade price). He then took time to look at the old one and was able to repair it with a £3 complete drum assembly and the young couple who bought the repaired machine were delighted with their bargain.0

A washing machine engineer I spoke to says Bosch. But not the expensive ones, go for the base model0

I loved my 16 year old Servis washing machine. I only got rid of it as I was having a new kitchen fitted nearly 3 years ago and it didn't fit with the new kitchen. I gave the old machine away and it's still going strong apparently!Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
