We have a LG does steam but tbh we dont use steam function has a large 11kg drum though and is very good at washing never any issues
  • I've got a 12kg Samsung as we are a large family, never had any problems with it and it cleans perfectly even at capacity. Never put holes in anything either.
How long have you had it, because.......
If it's still in warranty may i suggest you get them to take a look at it, and if its not why have you not complained before now to them seeing as you clearly are annoyed at its performance.

I have had it for 2 years and 8 months
I was on the phone to Samsung earlier today and they are sending an engineer to look at it on Thursday- the drum has stopped working.

    Bosch it is in future!
    Nice to save.
  • Rubbish! We had one and it lasted 3 years and 4 months before the drum bearings failed
I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.
  • it comes with a 5 year guarantee and we have no problems with it at all

    Bosch again for me.

    I've had mine 16years.

(I should add that it hasn't had heavy family use. Even so, I have been very pleased with it and would get another.)

We replaced our 15 year old Hotpoint with a Samsung 4 years ago and have been very pleased with it.

I'm pleased with the wash in my Samsung too. Ok the engineers had to be called out after 12 months to fix it but once i got past the call centre (just tell them its dead) they were out to fix it under warranty within a couple of days.

Having said that. I'd go for a Miele next time.

    Oooh! Who's rich then? ;)

But seriously, we have no issues with our Samsung at all. Washes perfectly on all settings and has not damaged any clothing. Agree that you should get it checked...

Even within a brand, there is quite a price range and it's worth deciding what features you will actually need and use. More features can mean more to go wrong.

Not me, but im fed up of us buying cheapish washers for them to only last 12 - 18 months. This one I'm hoping will last longer.
