Samsung washing machines- crap

Please do not buy Samsung washing machines because they do not clean clothes properly, not enough water is used so if a t-shirt gets stuck in a trouser leg it comes out completely dry from the machine

The machine puts holes in clothes mostly t-shirts because these are the thinnest things we wash and also underwear

If I was to buy a washing machine again I would buy a second hand one that is not economic in the usage of water.

Can anyone recommend a decent washing machine?
Nice to save.

I agree pretty much with the OP. I don't like my Samsung, it determines how much water to load by the weight of the laundry, froths it up to use even less, but then does not wash very well. The 2 hour programme is OK but what is saved in water is wasted in energy.

Reminds me of a washer woman sitting on the banks of the Ganges bashing the clothing on a rock, only she'd get it cleaner!
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.
  • As previously get yourself a Bosch you wont regret it mine is over 15 years old nothing has ever gone wrong with it washes as good as it was new..When it does go wrong eventually I will get another

Another vote for Bosch. (Our first one did die after three years, but the person, who looked at it said it was a very odd fault that he had never experienced before;the present one being fine after 4 years).

We used to have Creda (in the days when they were made in Staffordshire), but the Bosch is quieter.

Our Samsung has been perfect! Probably five years old now. No breakdowns. No dramas.

We replaced our 15 year old Hotpoint with a Samsung 4 years ago and have been very pleased with it.

My Bosch even has an "Aqua Plus" button to ask it to use more water. But I don't normally use it - it washes fine using as little water as it can.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.
